We need more places to be active, thus way relieving pressure on obesity. If there were the same sort of trail centres that offer everything then maybe more people will be more active instead of sitting at home playing video games?

An excellent way to take pressure off other land, and if it's designed and constructed by those reponsible for the 7stanes then we should be in for a treat!

Great idea. Should bring some business into the local area as well as providing facilities to get people into sport.

With increasing pressure on the established South East riding centres of Swinley and Surrey Hills, this would be a welcome development to provide additional areas for mountain biking and generate funds for the local economy.

having a trail centre which offers good biking closer to the SE is something that will certainly benefit this part of the country ,it seems that the North and Wales have the monopoly when it comes to all weather biking centres .

the south is hugely under represented by purpose made cycling facilities at the moment. anything that can be done would be of huge benefit to our area.

Fantastic to hear. A great area that could be a fantastic MTB Trail Centre!

This opportunity would bring riders from all over to ride the trails. I know this as a rider myself who travels the UK to some of the best tracks available. Cafes and local shops will also see a marked difference as mountainbikers are a hungry bunch after coming off the trails.

A fantastic opportunity for the area, I have seen other landowners do the same in Bristol and the effect and community spirit in setting up the trails was great to see.

Let's face it, the developed FC trail centres are superb, each with their own character and optimal user group, for some they are too man-made but the organisation and way marking lend themselves to numerous challenges be it against yourself, the terrain or your mates. The south this crying out for something to complement the Welsh and Scottish experiences. QE Park and Alice Holt are good locations and their existing tracks (especially the family trail at AH should remain), but there is great potential to create flowing fun trails that will encourage more young riders into the sport and perhaps reduce the number of M4 miles covered by us older riders heading for our regular Trail Centre fix.
Don't get me wrong, places like Swinley and North downs are fantastic too but these offer different challenges and you can't really push too hard as the chances of someone coming the other way are high.
All in all, it is good excercise, comparatively low enviromental impact, good for business; FC, bike shops, cafe's etc - A worthwile investment
