Place anything that ain't offensive on loved ones grave

If you have title to a piece of land (no matter how small) you should be allowed to put anything on it as long as it is not offensive.

i lost my baby 21 years ago and she is resting at the rankin ground at greenock this should not be allowed to happen inverclyde council have no shame they discust me i feel for the family involved i would take it to your mp

My son died and wee like to put personal things up at his graveside

I fully support this petition as it will effect everyone in one way or another, loved ones r laid to rest and paying for a layer is expected then by rights that plot of land belongs to the person with title deds as they paid for it not the council ?

That's shocking visiting and putting small things on a grave help people remember and come to terms with the loss of a loved one xx

Know one should have the right to control what you can and cant put on a grave especially when you have paid quite a large amount of money for the plot the last thing a greiving parent should have to worry about is the council invading there babies plot

I find it disgusting that the council are allowed to do this .....have they not got anything better to fo with their time ?????? Words can't express how sick this is....have a bloody heart for goodness sake and let people grieve for their loss......

Because it's not fair to make people remove things from loved ones grave It gives a lot of people comfort to know they can do something for their departed loved ones

I think people should be allowed to place whatever they want on their family's grave as long as it's not disrespectful it's all some people have and it's so sad that they can't have some things there

I have signed this petition because it's absolutely deluded that the council has no better thing to do than to think of utterly disgusting plans that is devastating families all over inverclyde.. It's bad enough that families have lost and are still grieving over there loved ones but to ask them to remove precious items that comfort the grave stones is just a disgrace, it's costs a fortune for funeral costs and does anyone complain no, our loved ones are just as much loved in heaven as they were here so why should there be any difference to keeping the grave looking lovely and clean it doesn't matter how much is on the grave that's upto the family not upto the council, it's just getting beyond a joke the things the council are coming up with now because they have nothing better to do and it's not effecting them, they should think of the people in the town that they are representing and take their opinions to into account and then everyone is happy, nobody is asking for much here..

 Surely if the "problem" is getting the grass cut they can tell u how often it's cut n give dates to take stuff off to be cut by them n then u can put everything back or will they find a different excuse for that suggestion

 I said that to them & they said they can't do that & went on to say its not fair on other graves ect it's just like excuse after excuse with them that's upto other people's families on what they do & don't want on their families grave x 

Absolute disgrace isn't harming any one

I think ppl look after their plots better than council as in my experience it's a slap dash cut I still have to cut around our stone.

The family have been threw enough without causing them anymore grief and pain it's a disgrace to make them move the stuff

It's a difficult enough time without this. You would think they'd have better things to deal with x

Its not fair not being able to place stuff at loved ones graves, after all you bought the plot. Its all you can do for them, all you have of them.

I totally understand the grief of the parents. As long as they don't encroach onto adjoining lairs and they keep graves tidy, where's the harm in it.

I think it's disgusting what's going on about the cemetery graves items to be removed
