This place is a major help for my niece and its closure will make life more difficult for her.
Guest#6 Sep 05, 2015, 22:47
I know someone who accesssed this service and it helped them
Guest#7 Sep 05, 2015, 23:07
my daughter has bpd and is waiting to access help
abbie w#8 Sep 06, 2015, 02:54

I've attended the bpd house, I've stayed there several times and it has seriously helped me. If this establishment closes, where will people like me with bpd go?! Absolutely Ludicrous to close it.

Guest#9 Sep 06, 2015, 02:56
Because I have attended the house myself as a person in the group and as a patient who stayed in the house
Guest#10 Sep 06, 2015, 07:27
Because myself and my daughters use the same sort of services
Guest#11 Sep 06, 2015, 08:27

Don't close this facility there is little enough help for mental health patients as it is!!!

It's such a valuable resource and has saved so many lives. Mental health is an invisible illness and services should be increased not decreased. You wouldn't not offer help to cancer patients!
Guest#21 Sep 06, 2015, 10:25

Until I was diagnosed I had no idea that bpd even existed. I've been going to the house for about 3/4 weeks and it's helping me so much. It's so so important it's kept open. I've had no support up until now for my mental health and it's changing my perspective on life. Please keep sharing!

The PDCP Crisis House has helped me hugely; it has enabled me to deal with my emotions better, helped me understand myself more and kept me out of hospital a number of times. Without this kind of support in the community for those with personality disorder a lot of people will suffer and potentially end up on the wards where we wont get better.
