Elevators for Bridges on Upper Bukit Timah Road
Dear Mr Shawn Huang Wei Zhong,
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who are calling for the addition of elevators to local bridges in our community across Upper Bukit Timah Road. We believe that this addition is necessary to provide easier & safe access for elderly individuals, bicyclists, and families with prams and/or toddlers.
Currently, many of our local bridges have stairs only that make it difficult for elderly individuals and families with young children to cross safely. This poses a significant safety risk and limits the mobility of these individuals in our community.
By adding elevators to the local bridges around the area of 215 Upper Bukit Timah Rd to Hindhede Drive, we can ensure that everyone in our community has equal access to safe and convenient transportation options. This will not only improve the quality of life for elderly individuals and families with young children, but also benefit the entire community by promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
We kindly urge you to take action on this issue and prioritize the addition of elevators to the local bridges in our community. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
