Cancellation of IGNOU December Exams for July session first and second year students (2020-21)

Greetings People,

I hope you all are doing well and so to maintain this wellness I am initiating this petition as you all are well aware of Our Country's situation due to Pandemic which affected our studies too. Hence, the main viewpoint of this petition is to give pitch to sounds of all the students of IGNOU whose main concern is as follows:-

• IGNOU issued a notice dated on 9 July 2021 giving information about the first and second year student's Examination of July session 2020-21 to be postponed to December session which surely shook all the students of July session. 
• IGNOU should have thought about the clashes and burden students will undergo because of this decision as students have to study for first year examinations and second year subjects as well at the same time period. 
• Additionally, Due to this Pandemic they postponed the examinations but they didn't think how much crowdy all examination centres will become if in December, July session (first and second year) students as well as December session (all years) students will also be appearing simultaneously. 
• IGNOU officials were asked several times by the students if they can manage their exams in OBE (Open Mode Examination) or Online mode but they refused that it will surely not be possible as everyone has not proper access to these technologies.. Okay that's still understood, basically there will not be any chance of Online exams. 

Now by stating all these points I hereby refers to that clearly IGNOU wants to take offline examinations which is not at all the need of the hour over lives of lakhs of it's students. Can IGNOU gurantee us that out of lakhs of students not even a single will get infected? Obviously, the answer is a big NO then why they wants to take this risk. 

All the solution to this problem is either they promote us on the basis of Assignments and practicals or whatever their criteria is. When Universities like Delhi University DU, CBSE board which clearly has a supreme lead can cancel it's exams for the sake of youth's safety then what for IGNOU is waiting.  OUR MAIN POINT IS WE WANT PROMOTION NOTICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. NO WAIT TILL DECEMBER. This is creating havoc among students, IGNOU can't play like this with our studies. More than half of our second year will get wasted till December while waiting for our first year exams. Yes, we did prepare for our exams but till December everyone will be in dilemma about what will happen next as clearly one still has a thought in mind that I have to study and revise more for our exams. Let us please study for our second year exams only. Please listen to our concerns and I hope decision - makers will do the justice. 

I hope all the students will understand our situation and will help us to raise our voice for this youth's betternment.
