Safer Road Speeds for Martinborough

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Safer Road Speed petition to allow the Speed management plan already consulted on to go ahead – we have received some good comments. This has now been submitted to the Minister of Transport for consideration - Similar requests to the Minister from neighbouring councils have unfortunately been unsuccessful.  It is however positive to see SWDC gearing up to reconsult on the Speed Management plan promptly. The community is ready to have their voices heard – the process for a new consultation will be discussed at the Strategy Working Committee meeting to be held on the 30th April.  The agenda for this meeting is available online – https://swdc.govt.nz/meeting/strategy-working-committee-30-april-2025/ (this topic is page 43)
