Thank you so much for your support to this petition.
As expected of any outrageous decision, this Draft proposal to change the schools has garnered it's following at immense rate. We are really proud to be a part of the community where parents are 100% invested in their children's education and future and will vehemently oppose any decision that might hinder it.
We had over 100 signatures in less than 24 hours and it continues to go up. Thank you to Sana for leading the charge with the physical signatures, and the overall effort at MP, sharing the information with parents on facebook pages etc. In addition to MP, we have been in touch with a couple of folks at Oak Park as well to drive this effort at OP. Thank you for those that are taking charge at OP to continue getting physical signatures as well as digital.
We have also contacted Mattamy yesterday morning. Ajit from Mattamy has forwarded this request to leadership and we await their support.
I will discuss the below and share an update by tomorrow:
1. Collate phyisical signatures across the two communities. (Sana, Michelle to coordinate a time)
2. Confirm who the packages are going to. (Principal of Bryan Rd, Wake county board members, Wcpss physical location and ?)
3. Submission timeline.
4. Discuss next steps before the face to face feedback session at the school.
Meanwhile, please continue spreading the word and keep up the good work. The goal is to showcase how many parents and tax paying home owners are concerned about this issue and that we will not back down without a fight when it comes to the education and future of our little ones.
