HELP KEEP A KILLER FROM WALKING AMONG US

Update

Petitions.net sent me an email asking that I provide an update on our petition. Sadly, with over 800 signatures, we were unable to change the outcome of the hearing that was held on May 2, 2023, in the Washington Country Courthouse in front of Judge Wilson. The shooter was remanded to Clifton Perkins Medical Facility in Jessop Maryland where he will be treated for mental illness. He is there until "he is no longer deemed to be a threat to himself or others." His first release hearing is this month, June 29, 2023, and if he is not released during this review, his next will be in one year and annually thereafter. He was NOT sentenced to set amount of time to serve. We've been told that although its possible he could be released this month, its unlikely. However, we were also told that he'd never be found not criminally responsbile, and here we are.
