Against 75% attendance rule

The Supreme court's order of mandatory 75% attendance was passed in 1969. For that era, the rule was perfect as it made education more viable. But modern times we have more extra co-curricular and extra means of education and information. And the way technology is progressing this rule is holding back the ability to compete in the modern world, moreover, this attendance rule directly contradicts the RIGHT TO FREEDOM and the fundamental RIGHT OF CRITICAL ANALYSIS. 

Adding to these, a common student also faces many problems due to it. This rule doesn't account for the common day difficulties such as travel time, family problems, personal problems, mental health issues, etc. Any student who is traveling for a long distance just to attend classes can relate to it. Any student who just lost a loved one and is stuck in some kind of family/ financial issue can relate to it. 

This rule is also creating a monopoly for private colleges to debar a student and then charge extra cash just because he/she/they/them couldn't meet the 75% attendance mark. Moreover, some of the faculties undermine the intensity and severity of the situation of the student and do not help or do not want to recognize a student's situation or problems and brush them off with no regard. 

Therefore, we students demand either to amend the rule or to have relaxation in attendance or to totally abolition of the 75% attendance rule
