24/7 UFS Library Access

As SASCO, we firmly demand 24/7 access to the university Sasol library. Access to education must not be limited by time — students deserve the freedom to study, research, and prepare at any hour.

Many of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds, where the library is their only place for quiet, reliable study. With the pressures of academic deadlines, part-time work, and shared spaces, flexible access is not a luxury — it’s a necessity.

We call on the University of the Free State management to prioritize students’ academic success by keeping the library open 24/7. Let’s build a learning environment that truly supports excellence and equity.
