The rate at which it is increasing is alarming and already the crime rate around the area has dramatically increased which is very concerning as a home owner in this area.

Craig Maskell (Pretoria, 2020-08-11)

As a regular user of the Wolwespruit mountainbike trails, we do not want crime to elevate as a result of the informal settlements and also do not want to fear for our families safety when using facilities adjacent to this informal development.

Jean Botha (Pretoria, 2020-08-11)

#3210

I am concerned about the informal settlement.

Daleen Prinsloo (Pretoeia, 2020-08-11)

Safety compromised. Fires at night time aggravate my asthma problems. Unsightly to say in the least.

This MUST. This country is lawless and out of control

I want to stop the Wolwespruit informal settlement, it will reduce the value of my property. It will increase the risk of crime in the area.

I strongly disapprove of the settlement especially with the current COVID 19 pandemic. There are no toilet facilities, clean water etc. They pass up and down our street not wearing masks. Crime also on the increase.

Kenjones@telkom Jones (Pretoria, 2020-08-12)

#3269

We live in the area and crime from this area is becoming very serious.

Martin Roos (Pretoria, 2020-08-12)

Same as Plastic view, den of thieves, cesspool and rubbish dump.

Buks van der Lingen (Pretoria, 2020-08-12)

It is in the interest of community safety. The larger area is being hit by crime, especially the area adjacent to the settlement. Also, the area is not developed for settlement. The local government should take responsibility in providing the correct shelter for these people and protect the safety of those who are staying in the area legally .

Pieter Viviers (Pretoria, 2020-08-12)

#3272

Crime increased tremendously in the last couple of months. We can not have people staying just where they want. The area are full of rubble and is affecting our environment.

Albert Terblanche (Pretoria, 2020-08-12)

#3278

In a settlement there are a lot of criminal activities which is not good for pretoria east. The crime rate is already so high. Also sicknesses can break out because there is no amenties and all the rubbish gets dumped in the vlei. It supposed to be a protected area.

Ros Hefer (Pretoria , 2020-08-13)

I am signing as these vagrants are involved in a number of house robberies in our area

Nashee Sewpersadh (Pretoria , 2020-09-17)

#3329

Having informal settlers promotes crime in the area as well as destroy the environment. They should be relocated as fast as possible before it becomes uncontrollable.

Ashir Manilall (Tshwane, 2020-09-17)

#3333

Unsafe, crime rise, littering, and yes, illegal?? Why is this allowed and a petition even needed?

Johan Steyn (Pretoria, 2020-09-20)

Phillip Vd Merwe Snr (CENTURION, 2020-09-20)

Natural wetland, not suitable for a squatter camp.
Crime is rising in the area.
Few weeks ago armed robbers were followed, ending up in that area, where one was shot.

We need to restore our area to its previous state where people can live without fear of illegal intruders ...and we need to protect our environment as well.

Judith Loedolff (Pretoria, 2020-09-20)

#3359

These informal settlements are started and occupied by undocumented and illegal foreigners. These squatter camps cause health and safety problems and have a serious impact on the environment.

Informal settlements are a breeding ground for drug abuse, crime, illegal immegrants, violence towards women & children and everything that is bad

Enough is enough!! It can't look like a dump site everywhere

Desire Oosthuizen (Pretoria , 2020-09-20)

#3386

They contribute to the high crime rates in the area. They definitely do not contribute to the economy.

Lizette Williams (Pretoria , 2020-09-20)

#3392

I’m signing because I feel it is unfair that everyone else has to pay property tax and that these squatters can do just what they like with no obligation to contribute to society

Morné Coetzee (Pretoria, 2020-09-20)
