Release Ruby

We, the undersigned, call for the immediate release of Richard "Ruby" Harris who has been wrongly convicted of a racially motivated attack outside a pub in South Wales in July 2013.

Richard was having a drink on his own after work when a muslim man began a verbal assault on him, which then turned physical when the man launched at Richard from behind after he refused to rise to the man's goads.  Richard tried to fend off his attacker as he was thrown to the ground and saw the man's two friends running towards them.  He struck out at the man to get out of the situation and injured him.

Richard was convicted of racially/religiously aggravated grievous bodily harm on 15 December 2014 with the help of a culturally ignorant and "politically correct" circuit judge who swayed the jury into finding Richard guilty.  On 29 January 2015, he sentenced him to five years in prison, the maximum allowed by sentencing guidelines, despite Richard's good character references, this being his first offence, having thrown only one punch in self defence, and a probation report which recommended a non-custodial sentence.

Richard is a devoted family man and a loving father who has worked hard all his adult life to achieve what he has.  He is well liked in the area he lives in and is known by many as a former local business owner and as a man who would do anything to help anyone.

We, the undersigned, stand against such politically correct convictions and stand up for justice. We stand up for Richard "Ruby" Harris and demand he be released immediately so he may return to his family who miss him dearly and to right the wrong that he has suffered.
