Resignation of Councillor Karen Tippins

Further to yet another disgraceful outburst from Cllr Tippins during an official Shaftesbury Town Council online meeting on Tuesday April 14th, in which she verbally abused Cllr Welch, repeatedly calling him 'thick' and an 'idiot',  we are calling for the immediate resignation of Cllr Tippins.  This latest outburst is one in a long litany of abusive, bullying, obstructive behaviour, damaging to the good name of our town and the mental wellbeing of Council staff.  No one should go to work knowing that they will be bullied and no one should volunteer their time for the benefit of their community, to then be abused or to have false and hateful accusations thrown at them via social media.  And this from someone elected to represent and supposedly do good for members of their community. This is completely unacceptable behaviour.  Enough is enough. 

Please sign our petition to stop Cllr Tippins damaging the reputation of our town any further.
