Based on why they need such a large mosque , when the present one is underused , on average only 10 - 15 people use it . For example , we wouldn't. build a cathedral with only 10 - 15 worshippers to use it .

Petition

was there not a petition before backed by UKIP and planning permission refused ????

The timing of this decision could not have been more shortsighted.
Given the atrocities being commited worldwide in the name of this religion in the present time, resulting in the national security level being raised to it's highest point in years - this narrow minded decision brushes all of that under the rug and is yet another insensitive swipe at the people of Britain and yet more mind-boggling pandering to those intent on forcing their foreign cultures upon us.

The deciding committee was ashamedly one sided; 46 Muslims and only four selected to provide a counter argument.

There is no legislation and reasoned judgement that can support this decision: there are already 6 mosques in the region. Dudley is home to schools,  a large hospital and the headquarters of the West Midlands ambulance service - each of whom would welcome the space and funding this mosque has received and each of whom deserve it because of the vital service they provide to EVERYBODY in the area,  not just a select group.

This result in favour of one specific group of people will isolate everybody else,  and sadly that's just the way they want it.
The second largest town in the country, now divided. Congratulations

There is too many as there is
Guest#456 Nov 12, 2014, 18:47
Dudley does not need a gigantic mosq. It's the city centre that needs attention. Its become a ghost town and there is no incentive to shop there . The choice of retail outlets is almost non existant. Money would be better spend rejuvenating the whole town for the good of the majority of people . A mosq would not be of benefit to all. Im also lead to understand that the majority of councillors involved in the in favour vote were asian. Whats happened to democracy ? Let the decision be made by the people of dudley by a ballot.

The reason I'm signing this petition is because I think the land could be put to better use.
Guest#458 Nov 12, 2014, 18:51

After being voted the worst high street or whatever you want to make it better with a super mosque?! Are you absolutely insane?! Get a retail park in with some decent shops inside of betting loan and pound shops. Shops that attract the scum!!  It won't be there long by the sounds of it

Guest#459 Nov 12, 2014, 18:51
The mosque will be an eyesore take up valuable parking spaces that could support local shops and businesses in an already struggling high street. It will further affect dudley businesses as it will deter people from visiting dudley. Also it will be a blight on an historic landscape of the castle in the background dudley is not a pretty sight as it is the castle is a good selling point for tourism but who wants a castle with a great big mosque in the foreground ? .
Guest#460 Nov 12, 2014, 18:52
Discusting and not fair to the local community of British Christian origin or any other belief other than that of Muslim. Why not a mega church or a mega temple? There are plenty of mosques in the West Midlands why do they need another?!
Guest#461 Nov 12, 2014, 18:58
Cause madness in the town. Not for the whole community.
Guest#462 Nov 12, 2014, 19:01
I'm against this building being anything religious. There are enough places for people to worship. Let's get some community buildings for everyone to enjoy.

Thick as pig shit Dudley folk....

Judging by the comments on this page, I think an adult learning centre is needed in Dudley instead, as the spelling of grown people on here is absolutely awful.

It actually makes me ashamed to be from Dudley, with such pig shit, ignorant people typing their messages on here. Why don't you give an actual constructive reason that you don't want a mosque, or take time to learn about someone else's culture before you dismiss it.

If I were a Muslim, I wouldn't want to build a mosque near such ignorant, pathetic and narrow minded racists anyway, but that's up to them.

It was a foregone conclusion from the very beginning that this mosque would be built

Guest#470 Nov 12, 2014, 20:30

God help us#474 Nov 12, 2014, 20:58

They can spend millions on a mosque which funds terrorism... but they can't help out the elderly whom cannot afford gas or electric. Makes me sick. Come on guys vote ukip

Daniel Scott#475 Nov 12, 2014, 21:09

This is so fucking stupid. I bet you wouldn't be bitching about it if a new church was being built. Maybe if you looked at the bigger picture you would realise that you are restricting other peoples freedoms.
