REMOVAL OF ILLEGAL SQUATTERS ON BLACKHILL

I live in Glencairn. Crime is escalating here too.

We need the area cleaned up + not attract crime littering + the like Thank you

Escalating crime rate and environmental issues on Blackhill.

Because I am directly involved by loving nearby and concerned about the safety of myself and my family. Feel unsafe.

It's imperative that squatters be removed

There needs to be more sustained control of people immigrating to the southern peninsula - there is limited work in the area and the overcrowding in Masiphumele is leading to random squatting, crime and pollution

I have personally been involved in looking for arsonists on the mt and stumbling across squatter's where stolen goods have been found and trashed all over the place. Have also witnessed fire's started in these informal structures and surrounds as well as increase in crime and hideouts on the mt side.

To create a safer community, be it security or environment friendly...

I work 24 HR shifts and my house was broken into twice whilst on duty with my wife and baby inside. These guys on the mountain sit and scope out their targets every day from the vantage point high over Capri.

With no fence blocking the access from Blackhill into Capri it makes for the perfect escape route with stolen goods.

I previously stayed opposite the wetlands in Sun Valley and it was a terrible problem there too. To get rid of them they had to cut down all the trees that was providing shelter. The guinea fowl used to sleep in the trees at night. It was a real shame. Also snares were laid and as a result a lot of cats went missing, one of mine included.

Nobody likes whats happening in our neighbourhood. Unfortunate that the approached authorities won't do anything about it....

Because the increasing number of squatters infiltrating the area is a cause of concern for all in the valley. Crime has increased all over the valley

Tired of the crime that comes from Masiphumelele. The overflow results in squatters living in the bush, who do as they please. Light fires,that caused immeasurable cost and damage to our area last summer. We have houses being targeted every night, bricks being thrown through our windows in housebreakings. Police do nothing to remove the squatters.Council do nothing. Yet we are still expected to pay rates and taxes!

To stop crime

It is not only on black hill where this is a problem! We must remove them from kalk bay mountain and muizenberg mountain too!!!

Do Not allow this to escalate into an issue that is then irreversible.

For safety and security and to prevent fire's that might be caused by these squatters.

To reduce crime in the area

Crime is the reason I signed. The crime rate is increasing in Capri
