We believe that the exclusion of Fin Green by Wilsthorpe School is unjustified, is a direct consequence of his autism and may be discriminatory against Fin’s transgender identity.

Fin was permanently excluded from school on Friday 21 May. According to school policy, the headteacher is solely responsible for exclusions. Fin is transgender, has autism and mental health problems. Fin has never, until now, had any disciplinary problems in school. He has not even had a detention. Fin began self harming in September 2019, shortly after entering school. He was briefly helped then by Student Support, and stopped for a while. This was before the current headteacher was at the scho

Barclays Bank Marple Branch Closure

The Marple Branch of Barclays Bank is due to close on August 21st 2021. Concerns from local residents is the ability for those who do not use online banking to have quality access to facilities. Barclays have stated that the local Post Offcie can be used but this is a small shop and already heavily relied upon for other businesses with queues outside on a regular basis.  This is also another loss of local trade and protecting our high streets at the this time is very important. We as a community

Orthoptics in Norway

The Orthoptists in Norway are scarce. Orthoptists examine, diagnose and treat defects of binocular vision. These defects occur as a result of abnormal development in childhood, or an acquired incident in adulthood. However, Norwegian patients are at risk of poorer care due to the fact that no Orthoptic education exists in Norway. The University of Oslo is willing to start providing a Bachelor degree in Orthoptics, leading on to a Masters degree, at the faculty of medicine, if funding can be foun

For the St Dunstans community to be more considerate and kind to the residents of Drayton Road & Goldsmith.

As residents around St Dunstans school we need a place to live that is safe and peaceful. We would like to ask the St Dunstan's community to be aware of our needs in this regard. These streets are where we live and raise our families. At times we feel ignored by the St Dunstan community and this has deteriorated our quality of life on these streets. We would ask visitors to St Dunstans to cut their engines off when waiting collect their children. We need clean air to breathe. We also need peacef

SUPPORT OUR CAMPAIGN BY ADDING YOUR NAME TO OUR CALL TO ACTION: 17 May 2020 In September 2020, seven artists of Chinese heritage were appointed by the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) in Manchester to co-design a Revisioning Project that would address equality and inclusion, and the future relevance of the organisation. STOP THE ERECTION OF PHONE MAST ON COPSEWOOD ESTATE

Hutchison 3G has applied to Hillingdon Council to erect a phone mast in the Copsewood Estate, at the junction of Linksway and Copsewood Way. Such an erection would be completely out of character of the surrounding area which is primarly a residential area of natural beauty where a large number of trees are protected to retain the character of the area. There are other locations not far from the chosen site which would be equally if not more conducive to such an erection, and these should be cons
