A Declaration of Equality

For The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Citizens OF THE

United States of America

IN GENERAL PROTEST WRITTEN

 

 

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to command the political bands which have oppressed them, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the ultimatum.

 

We have held these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain Inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to dictate such Government, and to provide new Representation for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these Citizens; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to demand their System of Government. The history of the present Government of The United States of America is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, against these Citizens, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these Peoples. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

  • ·         The Government has refused recognition of Marriage Equality, the most wholesome and necessary for the public happiness.

 

 

  • The State Government of Indiana has amended the State’s Criminal Code, illegally forbidding clergy of every religious establishment, the solemnizing of Unions of the Same Sex. IC 31-11-11-7 Solemnization of marriage between persons prohibited from marrying: Sect. 7 A person who knowingly solemnizes a marriage of individuals who are prohibited from marrying by IC 31-11-1 a Class B misdemeanor. As added by P.L.1-1997, Sec. 3. The State Government of Indiana has deliberately, and insidiously, infringed upon the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, such blatant anarchy shall lead We the People of the United States, down the dark road of a legislative feudalism, shackling the unelected to the chains of fiat, rather than the rationality of law, and the rule thereof.  Such an injunction, by its tyrannical design, shall break down the door of every house of worship, defile every sanctuary, incarcerate every ecclesiastic, and utterly force religion to bow to the whim of the State. If the Federal Government of the United States, either that being the Legislative, the Executive, and or the Judiciary Branches of Government, does not end the rule of unconstitutionality in such high degree, what is to say that government cannot use similar decrees as a weapon against all religion.

  • The Government has forbidden these Citizens of donation of blood for the public good, in the accusation that these Peoples are of threat to the health and safety of the General Public, without the option of HIV and AIDS Testing, in order to provide sufficient evidence of pristine health.

 

  • The Federal Government of the United States has permitted the termination of these Citizens, based upon discrimination within industries of every kind, having the legal authority to terminate the employment of these Peoples through the abuses of these twenty-nine States: Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota,  South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, and Alaska.

 

  • The Opposition regarding these Citizens have defamed them as Pedophiles, as psychiatrically unsound persons, and as Biblically monstrous individuals.

  • The Opposition have in the past, and within some circles still in existence, exercised cruel devices of torture against these Citizens, the operation of  aversive therapies, which entails electroshock therapy in the hands and genital regions, nausea inducing drugs with the presentation of homoerotic stimuli, masturbatory reconditioning, visualization, social skills training, psychoanalytic therapy, and in the past decades sterilization.

 

  • The Federal Government of the United States, in direct collaboration with The United States Citizenship Immigration Services, has unjustly and maliciously arrested, deported, and separated Binational Same Sex Couples. These Couples, despite existing in the state of union, legally authorized by the State Governments that have legalized Marriage Equality; though, unrecognized by the Federal Government of the United States, and the agents thereof, though, have been subject of this Intolerable Act of Government intervention in the destruction and separation of their lawful unions, as conferred by the State Governments, in the United States of America.

  • There exist the desire among Elected Officials, bound to their oaths of office, within the Federal, State, and Local levels of governance, to Criminalize the most intimate acts of two, mutually consenting adults that so happen to be of the Same Sex; the unconstitutionality of such could be applied to any sphere of the American Citizenry as would please such Tyrants. There is much danger in these men holding office, wielding the power of the People, endangering the Public’s Liberty.

The injuries the Government of the United States, and the Opposition has inflicted upon these Citizens are in fact too numerous to justly and entirely inventory; the grievances have been aimed in Opposition, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Citizens of the United States of America. The Inalienable Rights and Liberties of these Citizens, which exist within the Constitution of the United States, for our Being is by our Nature and that Nature’s God, Inherent---therefore, do so command that these Intolerable Acts cease and desist.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions to the Federal Government have been answered by few victories in the Congress, the Supreme Court, and by the Chief Executive; States have rallied to the side of liberty, as States have mobilized to the defense of tyranny. In the course of the greater play, the American People have amalgamated in the common defense, the Inalienable Rights of Man, as where others persistently repeat injury against their fellow Citizens. The Adversaries of Liberty continue to launch an aggressive campaign against these Citizens of the United States, attempting to invoke fear and terror among them, by usage of referencing concentration camps, murder, based upon biblical reference, and the protection of barbarous acts, as defined as Hate Crimes. A Representative, as well, a Senator whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to govern a free people---the campaign against these Citizens, by means of ignoring the Inalienable Rights to which their Creator has endowed them, is an attempt to enslave these Peoples, to the prejudices which compel these tyrants, in the like manner that obliged the Institution of Slavery, until December 6th 1865.

 

The issue of Equality is not a minor skirmish of Civil Rights, in its very nature, a fierce, cruel, and exhausting battle for this Republic. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our suffrage and maltreatment here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections, correspondence, and unanimity as one, American People, and one American Citizenry. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Oppression, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

 

We the People of the United States, oppressed by the Tyranny that has subjugated these Citizens, sign this Declaration of Equality, and do so petition the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus, the Congress of the United States of America, and the Citizens of this Republic to the selfsame. This Declaration, inspired, written, and founded solely upon The Declaration of Independence, ratified July Fourth, 1776, in which the Inalienable Rights of all People were so righteously defined and declared; in the like manner, have taken the initiative as did our Forefathers in the City of Brotherly Love. The Rights of these Citizens, already in existence by the command of divine Providence, though the operation of these rights and liberties have unlawfully been prevented. Therefore, it is only reasonable, as well logical, for the Oppressed to command that their Government of the People, by the People, and for the People acknowledge the existence of these Rights, thus in existence.

 

 

We, therefore, the People of the United States of America, in General Protest, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of this Republic, solemnly publish and declare, That these Citizens of the United States are, and of Right ought to be Free and Equal Peoples; that they are Absolved from all Tyranny of Religious Detriment, and that all political usurpations between them and the Federal, State, and Local Governments of the United States, is and ought to be totally Resolved; and that as Free and Equal Citizens, totally recognized. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
