Clean up Bellandur Lake and Ease Traffic Congestion

The bridge over the storm water canal had a pleasant surprise when a layer of tar was poured over it 2 days ago. This will help ease the bumps and prevent 2 wheelers from falling directly into acidic waters if they skid.

If this was done due to the power in people's voices, then all the more reason to keep voicing our concerns and persist with the larger goal of a clean, fresh water lake and smooth roads that are are a pleasant sight to commuters, not an eyesore that also suffocates.

Money was ordered to be sanctioned but never used

After fire broke out in 2017, the Govenemnt was ordered by the National Green Tribunal to allocate 500 crore for  lake development. Where did the money go and why is the lake status quo and still catching fire due to methane emissions after 6 years ? Why has the work been stopped? Tax payers deserve to know. Keep sharing the link and hopefully we will get an explanation and action if people support this initiative and write about their poor quality of life.

Meeting of Dy CM with Resident associations today at 1 30

1. There is an online meeting of the Dy CM and Bangalore Development minister, D K Shivkumar scheduled at 1 30 pm today, Saturday, July 15th. Request all those in the RWAs of apartments in and around Bellandur area to please put forth to the government the urgent need to clean this lake and surrounding area of its filth and stench,  besides solving  traffic woes.

The government has been elected to solve our problems. We need to let them know the magnitude of ours.

200 signatures and counting

The Bellandur lake issue is frothing and burning....  literally !! We have over 200 signatures in 2 days and numerous comments by aggrieved citizens. This is our chance to tell the authorities that they simply need to do their job !! 

Please extend the reach of this campaign to all your groups and hope that the issue gets the overdue attention that it has been screaming for !! 

For the betterment of Bangalore. For fresh air and clean water. It's our right.
