As a cafe owner i have always abided by the rules, had seating 3m apart, sanitised regularly, have a hand sanitizer station etc. My customers loved to feel safe, felt a little bit of hope at seeing a return to some kind of normality and it's been swiped from them. I wouldn't support this only I know that we act responsibly and we must also allow people the freedom to make the choice whether to sit or not in a safest environment we can provide.JACINTHA WARREN (BANDON, CO CORK, 2020-05-30)

If its OK to meet small groups and sit and chat outside, I think small cafes should be allowed to safely provide sanitised seating for patrons. This will only benefit the economic bashing that the country will face soon. Otherwise these small businesses may never reopen.Rachel Egan (Dublin, 2020-05-30)
