No information has been made available to the public or concerned parties by the Prison Services Agent or the Highland Council regarding the other 11 locations deemed as potential prison locations in 2009. The Local Development Plan finalised in 2015 after extensive consultation makes no reference to a prison being considered for this location. The land is scheduled for Business Development or Locally Designated Green Belt.
