On 24 September 2015, a crowd collapse caused the deaths of at least 2,256 people who were suffocated or crushed during the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Mina, Mecca.The Mina crush now stands as the deadliest Hajj disaster in history and based on the total of the individual national reports cited in the nationalities of victims table, may have been the deadliest crowd crush disaster to occur in modern times. The official government death toll in Saudi Arabia, where newspapers, broadcast media, and the Internet are heavily censored, has remained unchanged since two days after the event, with at least 769 reported killed and 934 others injured. However, outside sources have estimated the death toll to be much higher.On 20 October 2015, the Associated Press listed a death toll of at least 2,177.

بی‌گمان پی گیری مجدانه این موضوع، بهترین نوع حرمت گذاری به جان و امنیت انسان‌های بی‌گناه، با توجه به شعار امسال روز جهانی صلح "هم‌یاری برای صلح و کرامت انسانی برای همه" از سوی سازمان ملل متحد خواهد بود

با امید جلوگیری از تکرار چنین فجایعی در آینده برای همه بشریت

To the honorable United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon,

Your Excellency,

We are writing this to you in the name of thousands of pilgrims in Mecca who lost their lives on Hajj rituals.

We, the Iranians, from different social section including; artists, veterans, educators, students and athletes declare our sympathy and support to survivors of Hajj stampede. This disaster happened on the biggest annual Islamic event in Mecca and therefore; it merit attentiveness and observations.

Consequently, we would request your immediate attention on this specific matter with the hope that by your scrutiny and assistance such tragedies would not occur any more in the future.

Undoubtedly, immediate attention to this matter is the least it could be done in accordance of the value of humanity beings lives and security from the United Nations, concerning the motto of this year's International Day of Peace motto by the United Nations "Partnership for Peace, Dignity for All".

We hope such disasters won't happen again for the human beings regardless their race, nationality, religion and beliefs.
