Someone commented on Facebook that they wonder if the delays are a first step to the closure of the Colwick Vale Surgery.  If you think this might be the case, please comment.  There is also a formal complaints procedure that can be used.  The complaint for our area are dealt with from Birch House, Mansfield NG21 0HJ and the e-mail is: hilary.cole [at] nhs.net

Why should people catch the bus into Netherfield  when we have a surgery in  colwick

it is very important to local community  to have this surgery, try getting bus or walking to netherfield with a sick child (and indeed when you are ill !) this place was opened because it was needed !!

Glad someone, Barry, has taken the time to set up the petition.
After all the hard work we put in to get a Doctors at Colwick, we would NOT want Netherfield to take over

Doctors can drive to a surgery! MANY folks are on foot & a LOCAL surgery MEANS A LOT!! ESPECIALLY when sick & DRAGGING yourself there!!! This is a DEFINATE for COMMUNITY CARE!!

The surgery in Colwick is, as it always has been, needed. As patients, even now with both surgeries, it's difficult to get an appointment,  God knows how we will get one if we all have to go to netherfield. Its ridiculous, we've already been here and the Colwick community expressed, in no uncertain terms, we want and need a surgery in Colwick. 20+ years ago. Dr. Clamp moved from Radcliffe on trent to Colwick to start up a practice where one was needed. How do these people now decide, although houses/estates etc  have been built and Colwick is much larger than when Dr. Clamp first came to Colwick, that we don't need one. Keep our surgery at Colwick and stop shifting the doctors round.  Netherfield doctors in netherfield,  Colwick doctors in Colwick. Its certainly not rocket science.
