its disgusting how this housing assoc can try and evict mrs Jenkins and her children (one of them unborn). they should be thinking of the stress its causing to a pregnant woman, and also be greatful at not having to find another tenant and losing a week or more rent in the changover

Try writing a letter to the courts in an attempt to over throw the eviction. It may not work but it's worth a try!!?! Good luck n hope all works out for the best. Also local news papers and national news like sky and bbc.

I think it's horrible that the council are so heartless and cause u have one child and one on the way they should give you something they can't kick you out on the streets try and take them to court.

this poor woman has lost her mother, she cannot grieve properly because she is stressed out due to having her childhood home taken away and having to find somewhere to live, how sad that we live in a society where people don't matter any more.

Surely by letting this lady and her family live in what is her family home, would be less admin by gallions and less stress and heartache for all involved

unfortunately you should have gotten it in writing as its not common practice for them to let you stay on in the property if your not on the tenancy agreement so unfortunately you was advised wrongly.. if you had it in writing you would have stood a chance in keeping the property. I understand the hurt you are facing as the same thing happened to a friend of mine when she lost her mum when she was 18 and her brother was 16... they had never lived anywhere else and they had to leave the property as they wasnt named on the tenancy. Also if the property is too big for you ie: bigger than a 2 bedroom they wouldnt allow it anyway! As harsh as it sounds if they allow it for 1 person they have to allow it for everyone but i do wish you alot of luck

I think this young lady has enough to worry about without the added stress of a home! I have seen others get much more consideration for a lot less reason. Time for a little compassion Gallions!!! God knows there is much in this cold world of ours! How about giving her a break!! xx

please see this website http://england.shelter.org.uk/get_advice/advice_services_directory i should think they have to find you alternative accommodation, although you have no security over the tenancy they cannnot ignore your pregnancy or child!

I agree with the above comments; write to your MP and perhaps the local paper, too. Create a facebook page, even, if possible. Also, everybody commenting, if they are able, could think about maybe taking 5 minutes to call, email or pop round to Gallions Housing Association and voice their disapproval, contact details: http://www.gallionsha.co.uk/main.cfm?type=CU. What they are doing is wrong on so many levels. I really hope things work out for you and your family.
