I want to keep the doctors I know and trust and many of them are not taking the MAP

Lynne Cohen (Fresh Meadows, 2022-03-14)

#1206

I'm signing because I taught 17–21-year-old students in District 79, Alternative Education, for close to 30 years for a fraction of what my suburban counterparts were earning, because I was promised NYC would provide Traditional Medicare and Secondary benefits when I turned 65. Please do not renege on this very important promise for us retirees who have worked our hearts out and lent money to NYC in its times of need now that we are in our times of need.

Thank you.

Rosalie Reeves (Merrick, 2022-03-14)

I want to keep my Medicare and Senior Care Insurance

Jerome Bucholtz (Bayside, 2022-03-14)

#1211

I want to not only keep seeing the doctors I have established relationships with, but I don’t want to have to worry that every procedure my doctor orders will be scrutinized as to it’s necessity. Just like Teachers should teach reading, doctors should be the ones determining what care I need.

Myra Rose (East Brunswick, 2022-03-14)

#1212

Medicare advantage is a huge Disadvantage for NYC retirees.

Mary Ferrigno (New York , 2022-03-14)

#1213

I need to keep my original medical plan and cannot afford to pay the extra monies especially after these difficult past 2+ years of Covid and now the inflation on all things necessary

I want to keep my insurance the way it is. No copayments

Anthony Mammolito (Staten Island, 2022-03-14)

#1224

My health is fragile and I need to continue using the doctors that I trust. None of them will participate in the City’s Medicare Advantage plan. The City never contacted any of my doctors.

Kathleen Cahill (NYC, 2022-03-14)

#1225

MAP is an option inferior health plan when compared with the coverage we presently have.

Frances Socolick (Staten Island, NY, 2022-03-14)

#1228

The Medicare Advantage plan is not comparable to the plan I have now. It requires pre-approval for every test and procedure which my husband’s doctor orders. This is not acceptable.

Marilyn Parker (Brooklyn, NY, 2022-03-14)

#1229

I would like to keep my present Health Insurance

William Kleinschmidt (Leesburg FL 34748, 2022-03-14)

NYC retirees should receiving very the healthcare they were promised.

Sandy Castania (Staten Island, 2022-03-14)

#1234

We were promised Traditional Medicare w a supplement. No one who can choose wants the MAP. Please respect our years of City service and don’t fight this. We deserve it. And so do you when you retire.

Joan Altman (Brooklyn , 2022-03-14)

#1235

At 64 years of age, having health issues, I cannot incur any extra expense or limiting of benefits that I spent a career preparing for.

William Herlihy (Florida, 2022-03-14)

#1236

I’m signing because retirees deserve the earned, and promised, ability to choose their own health plan at no cost.

Leslie Choyne (White Plains , 2022-03-14)

#1238

I want to keep traditional Medicare and my supplemental ghi insurance. I trust my health providers. I do not want a private for profit company making choices for my health.

Helaine Bernard (Queens NY, 2022-03-14)

#1241

I’m signing because there’s no give n’ take here, just take. Isn’t this stuff supposed be negotiated??

Robert Peters (Bayport, 2022-03-14)

#1242

It’s unethical and unfair to renege on the health care coverage for retirees without them having a vote in the precess. If the city and unions want to negotiate something for future retirees, that’s fair. But this is unfair to current retirees.

Stuart Belsky (Jupiter, FL, 2022-03-14)

#1245

I want to keep my Medicare Senior Care.

Rochelle Berkeley (hollis hills, 2022-03-14)

#1246

I want our original benefits we were were promised and I want to keep the Doctors and plan I have now.

Rona Neufeld (Bayside, 2022-03-14)

#1250

I was guaranteed lifetime benefits when I signed on in lieu of a better salary and overtime that would have helped padded my pension. I am now old and depend on my benefits to stay alive.

Sharon Thomas Dooley (Fort Mohave, 2022-03-14)

#1251

Remember you will be a retiree someday. A few years ago, my union the UFOA, required me and my wife to pay $45.00 per month each for prescription coverage. They also raised my dues from $3.00 a month to $9.00 per month. Slowly they are chipping away at my benefits. This MAP would be a huge hit on benefit reduction

Robert Wallen (Staten Island, 2022-03-14)

#1252

I'm signing because I fear losing health care benefits to an inferior health plan because the city is only interested in saving money.

Ronald Gersh (Forest Hills, 2022-03-14)

#1257

The city owes us!

James Donohue (Not Hispanic or Latino, 2022-03-14)

#1276

As per my retirement package, all NYCDOE retirees were provided with the ability to choose their health care package and not be required to relinquish Medicare and accept a substandard HMO plan that was not negotiated nor approved by current retirees.

Joan Monroe (NYC, 2022-03-14)

#1280

Our unions are trying to take away the health benefits agreed upon in the past. They are trying to make us pay for the benefits we've had because we don't want the new plan that is questionable. I don't want to try anything different from what we have now. I don't trust that they are considering what is in our best interests. I think it is a deal they made for their own best interest.

Lynn Halligan (BROOKLYN, 2022-03-14)

#1281

As a retiree I deserve to retain the benefits I was promised.
The City’s fiscal irresponsibility should not be addressed on the backs of those who faithfully served.

Debra Kearns (Vero Beach, 2022-03-14)

#1283

I want to keep ghi senior care, without paying the $191 unethical fee!

The MAP plan is a complete disgrace and provides inferior coverage.

Joining fellow nyc retirees to maintain our benefits

John Fogelman (The Villages FL, 2022-03-14)

#1288

I strongly oppose health care for profit -- which Medicare Advantage is. Also-- it doesn't deliver on its promises.

Carol Giardina (New York, 2022-03-14)

#1293

I love my plan, but at 81 years old, I will not be able to afford it.

William PICCIANO (Ocean Springs,MS, 2022-03-14)

#1298

The mayor must realize we do not want this new plan that was forced down our throats. Its a horrible plan

Elayne Dougherty (Brooklyn, 2022-03-14)

#1305

I worked for the city my whole life. Now they ste trying to take away my health care at this stage in my life. Shame on them. DiBlasio squandered so much money, including his wife’s Thrive program, and wanted to save money on the backs of people who actually contributed to the well-being of the city.

Marjorie Drucker (E Northport , 2022-03-14)

#1308

I want to keep my Medicare and Medigap plan to be paid by NYC.

Susan McKay (Roaring Brook Twp, 2022-03-14)

#1310

I am signing because I truly believe that I should be allowed to remain on my current health plan, not be penalized if I do not go to another city plan, and recieve the health care that was promised to me when I retired.

ELAINE ZANICCHI (Hallandale, 2022-03-14)

#1312

I am appalled that a Mayor would is supposed to care about NYC workers would now want to take our health care choice away from us. I believe this absolutely violates the contract we signed
Knowing that it would violate the contract we served and retired under!

Elaine Fink (New York, 2022-03-14)

#1315

I believe the NYC policy is unfair and should let us keep our current health insurance plan without an increase in cost

george perry (Staten Island, 2022-03-14)

#1317

Retirees, not the MLC, should be involved in negotiations that affect their benefits.

Thomas Gerson (Bayside, 2022-03-14)

#1319

We need to keep our GHI Senior Care health insurance because of the many serious health issues that my husband has. He cannot have insurance where prior approval is needed for doctors' visits and medical tests. He cannot wait days before getting what his doctor needs done to keep him healthy. I retired over 11 years ago and financially we cannot afford to pay $400 a month for health insurance that was promised at no extra charge back then. Even the $15 co-pays are a burden at this point in our lives as the older we get the more we must see doctors. Many of our doctors will not be accepting the advantage plans that the City has put forth. This fact also weighed on our decision to keep our senior care. Please listen to us Mayor Adams.

E Knipfing (ROCKVILLE CENTRE, 2022-03-14)

#1321

It is extremely unfair to the retired people to create extra complications dealing with health issues by postponing vital treatments and surgery.
Please be understanding to people working all their life for the City and relying on the promised and safe Health plans

Raisa Saratovsky (NY, 2022-03-14)

#1322

I’m signing this petition because we should not have our traditional Medicare taken away from us. We have worked & paid into our coverage.

Doreen Guzzone (Staten Island NY , 2022-03-14)

#1327

As a retiree for over 17 years with health issues, this map will limit the doctors I can see I am on a fixed income, and choosing whether I could buy food or meds, will only cause more stress,c as I am 76 years of age, and when I retirees, I was promised health coverage at no additi9nal cost

Barbara Rons (Palm coast, 2022-03-14)

#1330

This is vital for retired seniors!

Norman Fisher (Lake Worth, Florida, 2022-03-14)

#1335

I have had a very bad experience with Medicare Advantage plans with my in-laws.
Many of my doctors will not accept the Medicare advantage plan . I am concerned about future doctors that I am not aware about now, will not accept the new plan.

Arleen Lipstein (Brooklyn, 2022-03-14)

#1338

Feel betrayed I worked 33 years assuming that I medical insurance for life I weon strike for rhe uvio

Leonora Schneider (Nanuet , 2022-03-14)

#1339

Healthcare is so important. The coverage we have was promised to us by the city. The changes would push us into a free but awful plan. It isn't medicare. It is a private insurance company. Opting out of that bad plan would cost people almost $200 a month. There has to be a better way.

Mary Olender (Carmel, 2022-03-14)

#1341

I’m signing because I do not want inferior health care when I need the best care possible in my golden years. I’ve already opted out of this horrific plan.

Geraldine Tyler (New York , 2022-03-14)

#1343

I'm signing because what the City is proposing not only significantly changes and limits our current healthcare, but effectively reduces our pensions by over $5,000 a year for a couple!

REGINA Fleszar (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-03-14)

#1344

This is a critical issue, health care for NYC retirees. We dedicated our lives to serve the people of New York City for low wages to receive retiree benefits.

Ruth Hirsch (Hewlett, 2022-03-14)

#1345

I am a retired 25 year city worker from the NYCHA and part of my employment agreement was health care for me and my family for life. I served my part of the agreement; now I demand that NYC honor their part.

I am writing because the proposed Medicare advantage plus plan will be very detrimental to my health needs Please abide by the judge’s ruling and do not appeal the decision. We retirees worked with great dedication and depend on you to honor us by allowing us to keep our current coverage which has been excellent. Thank you Sincerely, Jeanie Berger retired NYC teacher

Jeanie Berger (Queens village , 2022-03-14)

#1353

I am signing this because I want to keep my current retiree health benefits as they are.

Susan Grushka (Brooklyn, 2022-03-14)

#1354

I’m signing because Medicare Advantage is not Medicare. Despite the promises, we will have a for profit company making medical decisions. The bottom line rather than what our doctors deem necessary will dictate or delay treatment. This can have harmful or fatal consequences.

Janet Stahl (Jao, 2022-03-14)

#1360

I don’t want to change plans.

John S. Roiy (Hillsbor Beach, 2022-03-14)

#1365

I am signing because, as a retired NYC school teacher, then administrator for 42 years, I feel that it is both unjust and immoral to “change the rules of the game after it has already started.” To treat those who have. worked so long, hard and well for NYC is a disgrace and, truthfully, illegal. Leave your retirees’ health care plan alone!

John Hartnett (Long Beach, 2022-03-14)

#1366

I'm signing because after 30 years of working for the city and knowing that I would be taken care of in retirement it's not right to change everything.

Nadine Elhathat (Flushing, 2022-03-14)

#1367

I'm signing this petition because I need my insurance to remain the same. After 26 years of dedicated service I cannot believe I've been put in a position to have to beg and plead to keep the insurance I've been promised!!!

Mary Pisido (East Elmhurst, 2022-03-14)

#1368

The advantage plans are not Medicare

William DeMarco (Staten Island NY, 2022-03-14)

#1369

I'm very disappointed with the City and even more so with my former Union, The LBA!!!
Please drop the city's appeal regarding our healthcare.

Brendan Duffy (Pearl River, 2022-03-14)

#1370

I worked as a NYC for thirty years for many reasons. One was the promise of healthcare when I retired. I think it’s totally unfair if the city changes my coverage now when I am retired now and can do nothing to improve my coverage. It was a promise of the job.

Debra Garry (Mahopac, 2022-03-14)

#1372

We were promised and worked very hard for it

Glynis Moraza (Bronx, 2022-03-14)

#1374

The proposed Advantage Plan is not fair to retirees to have their insurance policy changed in retirement - please grandfather us in !!!! Offer changes to future retirees, giving them ample notice !!!!

Paul Koplowitz (Brooklyn , 2022-03-14)

#1376

I am opposed to any privatization of Medicare.

Bonnie Betnstein (New York , 2022-03-14)

#1377

I do not want a Medicare advantage plan, as most doctors down here will not accept it or any other advantage plan, this I was told by my doctors billing departments.

VINCENT TUMMINO (The Villages, 2022-03-14)

#1378

I retired and was told I had to take Medicare
Now that I am retired u tell me it’s not good enough. Change the benefits of new hires
I put my 30 years in not to worry about benifits .it’s the city problem If they can’t manage its money

Anthony Vigilante (Massapequa park, 2022-03-14)

#1379

My husband has been a high school teacher for many years forgoing higher paid work in private industry. One of the compensating factors was healthcare benefits on retirement. Please do not take this away from him and other employees who have dedicated themselves to serving our community.

I do not want to be forced into a MAPP!

Gaetana Cope (New York, 2022-03-14)

#1384

I made a life decision to work for NYC based on the benefit package. It is wrong for NYC to renege on their employees, those of whom sacrifice so much for this city.

Brian Krebs (New York, 2022-03-14)

#1386

I would like Mayor Adams to end this vendetta against retirees. We retired with certain expectations regarding our health insurance & we want our choice at retirement to be maintained.

Lillie Epner (Brooklyn , 2022-03-14)

#1387

I'm signing to show support for full healthcare rights (Medicare, not alternative, lesser health plans) for NYC Public Service Employees. Healthcare is a human right; it is NOT a commodity & retired public should NOT be pushed into alternative, unknown, costly health insurance plans.
