Property Values and Traffic Concerns

JEREMY GILDENMEISTER (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#5

I agree the amount of traffic that will be added to Beville Road will cause significant problems with egress from Pelican Bsy

Helen Mack (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#6

I am a concerned resident of Pelican Bay subdivision, fearing truck traffic on Beville Rd. will become unmanageable. Our home values will likely plummet hurting all our residents. I strongly recommend amending the plans and make Williamson Bl. and Bellevue Ave Extension the primary means of egress and entry.

John Schroeder (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#7

I do not want an entrance to Amazon from Beville Rd. The entrance could easily be on Williamson and also Bellevue.

Janice Griffith (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#8

There are more reasonable options.

Darold Rude (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#10

There is a solution that is obviously better than an entrance on Beville Road. Beville Road entrance creates additional traffic and therefore a greater chance for accidents.

Barbara Schuldt (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#11

Traffic on Beville road would be impossible for all residents. Commercial traffic should remain on Belleview where there is no homes.

Sharon Palmiter (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#12

Amazon is inevitable but should be a good neighbor.

Ashley Rude (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#13

I’m very concerned about the traffic impact on Beville Road and Pelican Bay Road.

Carolyn Beck (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#15

I am signing because Hillwood pulled a fast on on the City by first leading them to believe “no Amazon trucks will access the new entrance off Beville Road” only to later reveal (once the City granted Amazon a $4 million incentive) “there will be hundreds of semi-trucks running 24/7 on Beville Road”. Our City and County leaders have an opportunity now to prevent the traffic jams, accidents, and fatalities coming to Beville Road.

Jeff Stewart (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-23)

#16

I believe the traffic problems created by the number of trucks planned to use Beville Road will be a nightmare for the residents who live in these communities.

Linda Clarke (DAYTONA BEACH, 2022-01-23)

#18

I do not want the entrance and exit for Amazon to be on Beville Road.

Christine Eickhoff (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#19

Using Beville Rd as the main means of ingress and egress for Amazon will destroy our peace, tranquility and way of life for Pelican Bay owners and residents!

Amilkar Velez-Lopez (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#22

It makes total sense to move the entrance from Beville Rd to Williamson/- Bellevue. There are no “residential” areas there! Property values would not be affected. Traffic issues would be a nightmare on Beville.
A very bad plan!!!

Gail Brainard (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#23

The traffic increase on Beville especially for pelican Bay west gate and to add all the extra noise of trucks is unnecessary when you have the option of steering all that traffic and noise on Beville on to Belview and Williamson away from all the residence of Pelican Bay.

Carol Caron (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#26

I live in Pelican Bay

Barbara Becker (Daytona Beach,FL, 2022-01-24)

#27

Traffic congestion on Beville will be a nightmare for residents and visitors alike. This development has been concealed from our view from the beginning. No more misrepresentations are acceptable.

Rebekah Berman (DAYTONA BEACH, 2022-01-24)

#28

This level of semi-truck traffic is going to overwhelm Beville Road. With the new wide sidewalk that is to be built in the near future, I'm sure cars will divert to the sidewalk like is happening in Orange county. Our lives should not be jeopardized so a trillion dollar company can minimize their expansion costs.

Garry Hin (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-24)

#32

Stop the traffic overload that is inevitable

Gary Snider (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#33

I agree, there is to much traffic on Beville.

Robert Moehlenkamp (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-24)

#34

Traffic, noise, pollution, children on buses. Safety. Should have access off Williamson.

Karen Snider (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#35

I am in favor of Amazon, but am opposed to using Beviile Rd as access when there are better alternatives.

Gretchen Garnache (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#37

Too much traffic on Beville already.

Ro Janssen (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#39

This project has been a secret hidden from the public. Impacts to my neighborhood were not taken into consideration.

David Jarvis (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#41

This project has been a secret from the beginning and the neighbors have been in the dark on purpose so we could not have input. Shame, shame, shame on Mayor Derrick Henry and Commissioner Stacy Cantu for keeping this secret.

Pam Jarvis (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#42

I am against having an entrance to the Amazon complex on Beville Rd. It causes far too many negative issues for the area.

Carl Brainard (Daytona, 2022-01-24)

#45

Major traffic congestion. Increased noise level and decreased property value.

Jeff Page (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#46

It will be dangerous with the amount of trucks and traffic on Beville road, making turns it gets backed up enough and is hard turning from west gate. Peoples lives will be in danger. Entrance needs to be away from residential area.

Janice Youngman (Daytona beach, 2022-01-24)

#47

I am very concerned about the Amazon entrance across from the east pelican bay entrance . This will cause terrible road and safety issues, not to mention noise and effect on property values.

Joan Norris (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-24)

#48

I live in pelican bay

Charlene Davis (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-24)

#51

I am signing this petition because I believe changing the entrance and exit from Beville Road to Williamson and Bellevue is the only answer to co-existence between resident communities and Amazon on Beville Road!!

Diana Sanford (Daytona Beach, Florida, 2022-01-25)

#52

I have serious concerns over traffic, road safety, and the impact on property values.

Kevin Pruner (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#54

I’m signing this petition because I feel the urgent need to change Amazon entrance to Williamson Blvd or Bellevue Ave. I live in Pelican Bay and having an entrance on Beville Rd will have a major impact on our daily lives.

Nancy Gall (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#57

i am in agreement as a property owner in Pelican Bay that the entrance would have less of a burden if access was gained either thru Williamson or Bellevue.

Ross Girard (Ascutney, 2022-01-25)

#63

I live in Pelican Bay and use the East gate entrance several times a day. A new neighbor should take every step possible to destress this traffic nightmare.

Robert Charles Smith (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#64

I live in Pelican Bay.

Guy Arcuri Jr (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-25)

#65

I live in Pelican Bay near the East Gate and there is already too much traffic on Beville Rd making it difficult to enter & exit safely.

Rebecca Janssen (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#69

Entrance to Amazon needs to be moved !

Danny Mowbray (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#70

Please keep Amazon traffic away from our Pelican Bay Community's Beville Road entrances.

Gina L Billups

Gina Billups (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#72

My concern is for the emergency/fire truck traffic as well as the residents of Pelican Bay as well as the various users of the Speedway.

Joyce Smith (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#73

This project is great for the community.
However, ingress & egress of tractor trailers via Beville is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Obviously, location to the I-4 & 95 is PRIME for Amazon. What is acceptable is a solution for heavy transport vehicles to gain entry to the target facility be constructed anywhere between the Beville/Williamson intersection to Bellevue (SIC?). That’s trucks. On to employees/visitor traffic. To date ingress/egress for them appears via Beville which currently handles significant traffic already. It begs the obvious: why no entry/departure gate off the less used Bellevue aretery?
Please consider. If adopted the only offended group will be the cows.

David and Joann Fratangelo (916 Pelican Bay Drive Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#75

I don't want to see an increase of traffic for the Industrial area on Bellville (State Road 400) between Williamson and Clyde Morris Blvd.

Peggy Dodd (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#78

I dont want more traffic on Beville

Jim Narad (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-25)

#80

They dont need to waste our taxpayers money on access to roads that are already in place

Gail Geerdes (Daytona BeachFl, 2022-01-25)

Traffic and Home Values

Donald Boucher (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-26)

#89

This is a commonsense say solution to allow Pelican Bay residents and Amazon to coexist peacefully. I’m shocked it was never considered initially.

Julie Arnokd (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-26)

#90

I am signing because I wish to minimize the disruption to my residential area by the Amazon and warehouse facilities to be built north of Beville Rd, South of Bellevue and east of Williamson Rd.. In addition to the contents of this petition, I would like the grove of mature trees along the north side of Beville Rd be left intact to provide noise and industrial appearance reduction directly across from my home.

JuneA Campbell (Kelleys Island, 2022-01-26)

#95

I'm a resident of Pelican Bay since 1987. The increase of trucking traffic on Beville road will greatly impact the residential community.

Gail Fretwell Roberts (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-26)

#96

Its the right thing to do!! We need to let our County Council folks know that this issue will effect their political future!!

David Caplin (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-26)

#99

I totally agree with its contents!!

#100

I believe semis entering Amazon should not be using an already very busy Nellie Road
There is a Much better option off Williamson/Bellevue which already has enough lanes and NO residential communities

Marsha Fenstermaker (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-26)

#101

Too much truck traffic that will lower property values and there is an easy, close alternative

Patrick Conway (Daytona Besch, 2022-01-27)

#105

I live in Pelican Bay and do not want the added traffic. I was a police office and served as a Traffic Sergeant. There is no reason that Williamson cannot be used legally.

Robert Buchanan (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-27)

#108

I am concerned about the amount of traffic as well as the safety of driving on Beville Road if this facility goes in as advertised.

Harry Black (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-27)

#109

It's the right thing to do. Amazon was trying to take advantage of us!

Steve Weinberg (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-27)

#110

the constant semi-truck traffic, noise and polution will be dreadful for all who reside on the south side of Beville Road. Also, Williamson is just as wide as Beville at this location

Lydia Banks (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-27)

#111

To have the County negotiate such a deal and then not allow Amazon to have its main truck access on their "county" road (Williamson) is astonishing. There are three possible main options (Williamson, Bellevue & Beville) and they chose the worst option. Jamming up the residential stretch on Beville Road is beyond irresponsible. All parties involved should do the right thing...MAKE THE CHANGE!

Lauren Lloyd (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-27)

#112

I live on Beville Road. There are no residential properties on Williamson and Bellevue.

Renee Jenniges (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-27)

#113

The trucks and traffic from Amazon will cause a hardship to all the residents at Pelican Bay and other who live east of I95 on Beville. Will also cause a hardship to people who drive Beville on a regular basis. There are other, better options to reroute these trucks onto Williamson and/or Bellevue. Amazon/NASCAR help out the people who support you everyday.

Michael Domann (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-27)

#118

While having Amazon located in Daytona Beach is fine, I think that Amazon, the Mayor and Council of Daytona Beach and the Volusia County Comminssioners have made a serious error in considering full vehicular traffic access for the Amazon (and any other commercial) facility from Beville Road. The increased traffic on Beville Road will significantly impair the ability of emergency services to the communities presently located along Beville Road between Williamson Blvd. and Clyde Morris Blvd. and others served by the firestation on Beville Road. Imagine what could result from traffic congestion on Beville Road delaying fire and other emergency apparatus from responding in a timely manner to emergency situations in the area. WIll Amazon, or our governmert agencies and representatives be held responsible?

John Veray (DAYTONA BEACH, 2022-01-28)

#119

I live in the Pelican Bay community.

Eli Sosa (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-28)

#120

I see no reason Why the semi entrances could not be on Williamson or Bellevue as there are no residential areas on those roads where the projected distribution center is going

Francis Melody (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-28)

#121

The trucks and noise is unnecessary in residential area limiting emergency services and my home value.

Judith Eskin (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-28)

#122

I am a homeowner in Pelican Bay and we were given no notice of zoning changes. We were not given an opportunity to debate this change that will have a significant impact on our livelihood.

Robert Fadden (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-28)

#126

I live in Pelican Bay.

Loretta Devito (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-28)

#131

There should be no egress for commercial vehicles onto Beville Rd

Shawn Babcock (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-30)

#134

The proposed commercial entrance on Beville Rd would obstruct ingress and egress for residents of Pelican Bay, create a massive backup of traffic for drivers attempting to enter I-95 and I-4. Existing traffic during typical commuting hours currently results in traffic back-up for those trying enter or exit 95 or I-4 to Beville Rd; during special events in the area it becomes an absolute standstill. Bumper to bumper semi trucks will create a nightmare for anyone traveling this corridor and have a profound negative effect on property values to those residing in Pelican Bay.

Judy Batchelor (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-30)

#135

I want the Amazon traffic entrance to be Williamson and Bellevue only.

Rita Gura (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-30)

#137

Pelican Bay resident and agree that Beville rd should not be the road for entry they should use Williamson or Bellvue

Jim Berkley (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-30)

#140

The county council did not take pelican bay residents into consideration when making their decision on this entrance. They should change it.

Russell Norris (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-30)

#141

I'm signing because the amount of daily semi-truck traffic was left out of the documents when it was submitted to the planning department and Beville is already an extremely busy and dangerous road. I live in Georgetowne right by Beville & Yorktowne. The traffic is already a nightmare to try and exit our subdivision onto Beville heading west due to the high rate of speed and the vast amount of traffic traveling Bevillle on a daily basis. Let's not forget when we have special events the traffic nightmare that occurs and now add over 635 semi truck trips 24 hours a day to the traffic problems on Beville. These subdivisions on the Beville corridor were here before Amazon was ever founded and the land was zoned agricultural. We need to have the semi-trucks use Williamson to enter and exit Amazon. We also need to slow the high rate of speed in which the traffic is traveling on Beville and one way to ensure the safety of our residents is to add a traffic signal at Yorktowne and Beville. Let's protect the lives of our residents and our property values by having the semi traffic use Williamson and adding a traffic signal to Yorktowne and reducing the speed limit to 40 mph.

Stephanie Reinhart (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-30)

#142

It is already a busy road the additional traffic would be a nightmare.

The Ryans (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-30)

#145

I do not want the increased commercial truck traffic on Beville road and across from one of the oldest residential developments in Daytona. In general Beville road around pelican bay is not considered commercial area. If they proceed as the mayor allowed them to do, most certainly our property value will lose value. They should stick with the original plan and use Williamson as their entry/exit point. Ready to engage legally if that’s what it will take.

Sotirios George Kaminis (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-30)

#146

Traffic on Neville Is already bad enough. We don't need more traffic.

Dina Chester (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-30)

#152

I oppose increased traffic volume along Beville Road for safety and other reasons.

Howard Smith (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-30)

Carole smith

Carole Smith (DAYTONA BEACH, 2022-01-30)

#154

Because I don’t want all the truck traffic at an intersection I use at least twice a day

Dennis Hoffman (Port Orange , 2022-01-30)

#157

Using an entrance on Beville Road is inappropriate, totally inappropriate. Amazon, NASCAR and the county should be required to construct an entrance on Beville or Bellview. A long established residential community at Pelican Bay should not have to tolerate heavy commercial traffic 24 hour a day. 7 days a week.

Donald Davis (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-31)

#158

We have lived in our home (across the canal behind Filitowski's) for 37 years, we're now senior citizens and I can't begain to imagine trying to exit from Yorktowne Blvd. onto Beville Rd. with all the new traffic that will be on Beville Rd.

James Singleton (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-31)

#159

I drive on Beville Road almost daily. It's too congested as it is now. This will only add to the congestion.

Danny Erwin (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-31)

#164

I'm signing because I feel that the semi traffic will create an increase in congestion at the light that will just make harder to travel on Beville. Roads need to be built to enter Williamson and Belview. Pat Matthews

Patricia Matthews (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-31)

#165

I use the Pelican Bay West Gate as my entrance and exit for my home. The traffic on Beville is growing organically in such a way new options to handle the traffic should be under research already. Adding the commercial traffic in and out of Amazon would provide more than an undue burden for those using the road for daily life. Also, after listening to the Roledex race this weekend, I do not relish the thought of the constant noise of the trucks entering and exiting virtually behind my house.

Jon Pinney (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-31)

#168

Living in the Georgetowne subdivision the traffic will absolutely effect us. There isn't a viable reason for the truck traffic not to come in and out of Williamson Blvd. Especially when US Foods can.

Matt Reinhart (Daytona Beach , 2022-01-31)

#169

I'm signing simply because this proposed entry way makes more sense!

Sheray Roberts (Daytona Beach, 2022-01-31)

#177

entrance and exits should be from Williamson, not Beville.

Rickey Dill (Daytona Beah, 2022-02-01)

#178

This was not well thought out. Politicians don't have the right to convert my neighborhood into an industrial zone.

PETER BERMAN (DAYTONA BEACH, 2022-02-01)

#179

We VERY MUCH OPPOSE this exot it's across from our community and would terrible for us!

Suzanne Wize (Daytona Beach , 2022-02-01)

#180

I do not want a commercial vehicle entrance on Beville Rd.

Khadeja Swindling (Daytona Beach , 2022-02-02)

#185

I have a family member that lives off of Beville Road and I frequent that area often. I think moving the Amazon warehouse entrance away from residential neighborhoods would be better.

Stefanie Gracia (Port Orange, 2022-02-03)

#189

I am in favor of Amazon, but am opposed to using Beville Road as access when there are better alternatives. Williamson Boulevard should be the entrance/exit.

Anita Harrington (Daytona Beach, 2022-02-04)

#191

Do not want increased traffic.

Kathy Quinto (Daytona Beach, 2022-02-04)

#194

I’m signing because the traffic on Beville and Williamson cannot handle the influx that will be once the new Amazon warehouse opens. This intersection receives all incoming/outgoing traffic to I4 and I95 and is already congested.

Christy Taylor (Port Orange, 2022-02-06)

#195

It would be a traffic nightmare if entrance is on Beville

Susan Maxwell (Daytona Beach, 2022-02-06)

#199

I feel strongly that the main entrance to such a hard-core industrial site which anticipates heavy traffic should be moved away from a residential entrance and to a side avenue, in this case TWO side avenues. The proposed entrance off Beville is to "alleviate heavy traffic on Williamson" ?? Williamson is not residential nor commercial! Put the entrance there.

Suzanne M Merhige (Daytona Beach, 2022-02-08)

#200

Williamson as the entrance makes more sense. There is already a traffic light and easy entrance to airport, Rts.95 and 4. Beville Rd is the entrance to several residential communities, making an industrial development more dangerous to these communities.

Carol Ovamio (Daytona Beach , 2022-02-09)
