Jesus Christ Superstar and Hair literally changed the way Broadway did musical theater. I live a long way from Broadway but those two plays changed MY life here in New Mexico more than I can say in a short paragraph. They were brilliant and spoke to a whole generation of folks who never got even close to attending a Broadway show!!

Dennis Dunnum (TorC, 2021-12-18)

Tom O'Horgan's creations made such a profound impact on me that I became a theater patron! His works spoke (and still speak) to so many of us, and were influential in us forming our perceptions, and thoughts
But, especially, because Ted Neeley once personally told me that he has Tom O'Horgan to thank for his path and much of his career - I don't even want to imagine a world without Ted's performances!!!
Thank you, and all the best to you & yours this holiday season, and always,
Kim

Did you know that this man actually saved my job in "HAIR"? Yep.
No need to bother you with the details, but suffice to say, I'd support him even if he hadn't helped me at that time.
GO TOM!! ~ gh

GEORGE HIRSCH (NEW YORK, 2021-12-19)

Tom O'Horgan revitalized Broadway -- until HAIR, Broadway never did Sunday shows -- until HAIR, bands were never on stage with the cast -- until HAIR, musical shows never played non-musical houses, casts never co-opted as stage hands, as set pieces. Until Tom, Gerry, Jim and Galt's HAIR, there were leads and chorus (and rarely a cross-over). And that is only ONE production. Surely, even HAIR grants him entry!

Natalie Mosco (New York, 2021-12-19)

It is impossible to overstate the importance of Tom O'Hirgans contributions to American theater. From touring the world with avant guarde off Briadway shows to the days when he had 4 Broadway shows running at the same time he was always creating new and exciting creativity that literally changed theater as acknowledge by many sources. HAIR was the first Broadway show to blend contemporary music with a Broadway show, and the first in many other ways. He started the careers of some of the world's biggest stars. Theater would not be what it us without his contributions and genius!

Nina Dayton (Hatfield, 2021-12-20)
