I love sitting there in the evening having a coffee and bacon bap.So peaceful .Fills my spirit cup right up.

Helen Hughes (Greenfield, 2021-10-12)

#404

I regularly use the kiosks when walking and cycling in the area and don’t believe they need to be removed but if they are, they need to be replaces like for like and operated by the current leaseholders

Peter Davison (Abergele, 2021-10-12)

#408

The Thos on Sea / Colwyn Bay kiosks are iconic , fun , practical, offer a great service and create jobs . How can you even think of removing them , bureaucrats in office , heartless and don’t care how sad an act removal of them would be . The promenade would be spoilt , visitors and locals made very sad . It would drive people away .

Jan Atherton (Pwllheli , 2021-10-12)

#409

I'm signing here because myself and my friends use this cafe often. We along with lots of other locals will miss this cafe and the staff. They have been a feature on our prom for as long as I can remember

Sue Hughes (Colwyn bay, 2021-10-12)

#410

I believe that these units provide a vital service to visitors and an extremely useful social service to locals

Ray Irvine (Penrhyn Bay, 2021-10-12)

#411

This is a community hub and a life saver for the disabled and lesser abled who can’t get into Rhos and Rhos has no parking them.

Susan Evans (Chester, 2021-10-12)

#413

I want to ensure that the Cayley kiosk continues to thrive and subsequently benefits the local community in myriad ways.

Emyr Hughes (COLWYN BAY, 2021-10-12)

#415

It's a disgrace that these small businesses are being demolished. It's a general meeting g place for people and brings in extra tourists.

sue roberts (Holywell, 2021-10-12)

#417

Fell SO strongly about this. This would be a terrible move for Rhos and Colwyn.

Cathy Cassidy (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-12)

#427

Cayley kiosk is a regular meeting point for my family and friends. We know the cafe owners, who are an integral part of the community. This place was a vital lifeline to us when lockdown occurred, and was the main place to meet safely with family and friends.

Erin Rice (Rhos on Sea, 2021-10-12)

#428

The Cayley kiosk is the ideal place to enjoy a tea with a lovely view. Such friendly staff and extremely good value. Why close something that is beneficial to a lot of locals and visitors to the area

Sarah jones (Colwyn bay, 2021-10-12)

#432

Lets keep at least some of the attractions that give the area its character.

Steve Davies (Buckingham, 2021-10-12)

#437

I'm signing because I regularly swim with the Bluetits in the sea in Rhos on Sea and use the kiosk cafe after swimming

Sonia Jones (Wrexham , 2021-10-13)

#438

they are used and enjoyed by a lot of people

Anna Heathcote (Old Colwyn, 2021-10-13)

#439

The kiosks along the prom are integral to the experience of visiting the area. Not only do they provide a service for tourists but are used extensively by residents for whom they provide a social hub. My visits at peak periods has not indicated any conflict between pedestrians, cyclists and traffic and there seems to be no need for the current layout to be altered.

Geoff Corker (Winsford , 2021-10-13)

#441

It’s a lifeline to many people including the elderly and lonely

Katie Jones (Bodelwyddan , 2021-10-13)

#442

I'm signing this petition because the kiosk is a integral part of the waterfront at Rhos on Sea

John Connell (Liverpool, 2021-10-13)

#443

I always use this kiosk when I'm in Rhos

Barry Evans (Rhyl , 2021-10-13)

#450

I used to use the kiosks at Colwyn Bay, they were great with real sense of community, and when they knocked those down and replaced them with the white elephant that is Portharias I moved to use the ones at Rhos on Sea - where will I move to if they get rid of these!! Please Rhos on Sea look what a cock up Colwyn Bay was and re assess your plans!

Nigel Bird (Trefriw, 2021-10-13)

#455

I think it is absolutely outrageous that the council are prepared to destroy peoples livelihoods! The kiosks have genuinely been a lifeline to a lot of local people during the covid epidemic and are busy all year round

Significant part of our promenade. Provides income and jobs. Acts as meeting point

#470

Moussaka Salem puts his heart and soul into the kiosk. Makes a big difference to many peoples lifes (cayley kiosk).

Carol Stockton (North wales, 2021-10-13)

#471

These kiosk's have been here for years and very busy. If they are not fit for purpose anymore, the council should renovate/replace but still allow current tenants to stay, without charging ridiculous rent. I think the council are doing a fab job on the rhos/Colwyn Bay prom, and I much prefer it to Llandudno, but please be considerate of the current tenants and the regulars.

Tina Jones (Penrhynside, 2021-10-13)

#473

The kiosk has been a lifeline for so many people especially over the last couple of years

Donna Owen (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-13)

#475

Colin lackin ,I object. to losing a vital service when there is plenty of room now never mind after closing half of road

Colin Lackin (Manchester, 2021-10-13)

#476

Whenever we visit we grab something from the Cayley kiosk. An institution. Knocking it down with no replacement is short sighted. It always has people around it even when the weather is poor. It's getting rid of a local amenity to have a wider path. Sounds odd.

Paul Smith (Higher Ferry, Flintshire, 2021-10-13)

#477

Regularly use the Cayley kiosk it's a place to meet friends, its reliable a friendly service and to close it is taking away someone's livlihood.

Barry Whitehurst (ABERGELE, 2021-10-13)

#481

1, They are seaside atmosphere character in the area and good to stop for a rest and/or drink with my disabled mother as i cant push her far.
2, Can see the sea from the kiosks.
3, Not enough eating /drinking/ice cream places for a seaside area like Rhos on Sea.
4, They are integral to our community.
5, Many senior citizen flats /homes in rhos and the retired have no where to go. I AM AWARE AS A CARER OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO VENTURE NOT TOO FAR TO THE KIOSKS FOR COMPANY AND COFFEE/ MEET FRIENDS/ LOOK AT THE SEA AND THE WORLD GO BY OFTEN DAILY .
6, Kiosks are good central meeting points known to all but think of the old peopleand keep them.

Linda HAWORTH (rhos on sea NORTH WALES, 2021-10-13)

#482

When employed as a support worker they were excellent for allowing my clients to enjoy being outside and have social interaction.

Ann Jones (conwy, 2021-10-13)

#483

The people that have run the kiosks and provided a lifeline for many over the last 18 months need to be guaranteed that their business is protected.

Sharon Shaw (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-13)

#486

If the council are insisting on demolishing this unit then they must ensure that a new unit is available so that Moussa and his staff can continue to serve and support the local people as well as visitors. The kiosk staff are always welcoming and remember how you like your coffee etc. You can’t get this from the bigger franchises. It will be a huge huge loss to the local community.

Jeanette Jenkins (Llandudno Junction , 2021-10-13)

#487

The kiosks are so well used, so lovely to sit with a coffee and look at the beautiful view. Leave them where they are, It appears to be that the council are destroying all the local amenities as well as building a monstrosity Council building in Colwyn Bay and giving permission to build ugly flats all over the area.

Linda Meadows (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-13)

#493

To lose these kiosks would be absolutely criminal

Ciaran corscadden Mr (Dudley, 2021-10-14)

#495

The kiosks in Rhos on sea are a vital community service. A viable alternative must be found to ensure these vendors can continue to provide this service.

Elizabeth Ward (Colwyn Bay , 2021-10-14)

#497

I visited the kiosk and saw how much the locals loved it

jania williams (Adelaide , 2021-10-14)

#501

I use the kiosk regularly in all weathers it would be greatly missed by locals and visitors alike.
The staff are all wonderful always cheerful whatever the weather

Judith Barnard (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-14)

#507

I walk along the prom regularly and purchase from the kiosks. I grew up in rhos on sea. We have already lost kiosks in Colwyn Bay, don’t let these remaining well used iconic services be destroyed and businesses lost.

Frances Adams (Abergele, 2021-10-14)

#509

The Cayley kiosk just needs an up grade, not to be pulled down. It's a place for locals and tourists young and old love to meet up sit and have a drink looking at the amazing views that none of the local cafes can offer. It has been there for years and served the community well. Please leave it be.

Janet White (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-14)

#511

I would miss this kiosk so much.

Karen Morley (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-14)

#514

It is a good kiosk and very popular. Hard worker and much respected.

Perry Viv (Old colwyn, 2021-10-14)

#516

I'd like to see the kiosk stay it's part of the history of Colwyn Bay and more and more of it is being destroyed!
This kiosk is a life line to a lot of local people young and old

Chris Tucker (Rhos On Sea, Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-14)

#517

I am signing because it is always our first port of call when we visit the area a drink and something to eat overlooking the sea in such a beautiful place we relax we have arrived the people who work in the Cayley are very friendly and welcoming it would be a great loss to the area if it where to go .

Daphne Bailey (Congleton, 2021-10-14)

#524

The kiosks are highly used by the local community. They are natural stopping point for many families and the elderly getting out to walk / keep for etc. The plans are great but we need to find a way to reposition the kiosks.

Emma Williams (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-15)

#525

Unacceptable to take away a business. These kiosks are needed for tourists and locals.
Very short sighted of Conwy Coucil.

Kate Roberts (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-15)

#526

It’s the best place for a coffee , Hassan doesn’t rip people off and it’s just a great place to go

Paul Owen (Llandudno Junction, 2021-10-15)

#529

This will change the whole ambience of the promenade, affect people's livlihood, affect the many people who use these kiosks, and spoil a beautiful promenade. If it aint broke, don't fix it!

Patricia Sharpe (Penrhyn Bay, 2021-10-15)

#534

It is an important feature of the village

Margaret Young (Rhos on sea, 2021-10-15)

#536

I use this kiosk to meet my friends it’s a nice outdoor space

Donna Molyneux (Abergele, 2021-10-15)

#540

It’s a huge deal this because it’s a chat and support centre and it employs local people, local people and visitors from across the border travel down to have a cuppa by the sea Priceless… short sighted council

Gareth Owen (Old Colwyn, 2021-10-15)

#547

It’s a hub for people to meet up and a reason to go out and meet others and not be lonely and have to stay indoors which they would if you close this down… you may lead a busy life! People rely on this! Please don’t close it down. 🙏

Donna Hargrave (Rhyl, 2021-10-15)

#549

I go here with my husband or daughter and it’s important to me and others, and I want to support the owners

Irene Mann (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-15)

#550

These are part of Rhos on sea we use them regularly as do many other people

Paul Garden (Holyhead, 2021-10-15)

#552

The Cayley is an iconic part of Rhos seafront. It is a hub for people to meet. Demolishing it will have a massive impact on many people.

#562

It is very popular and provides a valuable service to the public

Margaret Burrows (Penrhyn Bay, 2021-10-17)

#563

The Kiosks are part of our community and great for all generations as lots of people meet there ...great for mental health for the elderly.. We need to keep them xxx

Marie Byrne (Rhos on sea, conwy, 2021-10-17)

#565

I don’t want to see our kiosks demolished or the council build new ones and allow the same businesses to run them as they are now.

Julie jones (Abergele, 2021-10-17)

#568

These are part of the history of the area for many generation of people nad must be saved

Jacqui Gregory (Penrhyn Bay, 2021-10-17)

#569

1.it will stop people coming all year round to rhos,2 it’s a great community gathering places 3, families choose rhos On Sea to visit as they can be on the beach and close to the cafes.
4. Do the council want the place to become another ghost town, please listen to the residents.
5.do the council not come down to the promenade and see what a thriving place it is.
6, I’ve heard that it’s because of two incidents of people being knocked down, well an option would be to have more zebra crossings

David Eardley-james (Conwy, 2021-10-17)

#571

It's literally the most popular place on the whole promenade, why on earth would you close it down?! Stop the madness.

Phil Rowe (Abergele, 2021-10-18)

#573

So many people rely on this reasonsbly priced kiosk.

Lynne Morris (Rhos on Sea, 2021-10-18)

#574

The amenity will be lost forever with false promises of a potential future restoration and the stripping of a viable business from its current operator.

Ian Saunders (Old Colwyn, 2021-10-18)

#580

A visit to the Cayley kiosk is part of daily life for so many people. It's survived lockdown, is a viable local business and deserves to be allowed to continue operating.

Sharon Worgan (Conwy, 2021-10-18)

#583

I visit Rhos on Sea for the Monthly coffee and cars on the prom. This is a major social event and Cayley Kiosk is always in high demand at these events. At a time, during a pandemic, when outside socialising is being encouraged more than indoor socialising it is important to maintain the facilities that allow this to happen.

Andrew Catchpole (Tywyn , 2021-10-19)

#584

The council are greedy, power crazy idiots who are ignoring the unhappy people who pay their wages!

Dawn Williams (Conwy, 2021-10-19)

#588

We use this kiosk regularly. It's part of rhos on sea!!!!

Bethan Evans (Rhos on sea, 2021-10-19)

#590

There is nothing wrong with the prom as it is and residents of the upper prom must be furious. The kiosks are part of the Rhos heritage. What a ridiculous waste of money, but I'm afraid in line with Council guidelines, the new Council buildings in Colwyn Bay, being another example. Spend the money on improving things that need it, like the road surface on The Old Highway.

Michael O'Reilly (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-20)

#591

This Kiosk is a lifeline for our community of people with learning disabilities as well as the wider local community. It serves the people of Rhos on Sea and surrounding areas...it's not just there for the holiday trade.

Williams Val (Colwyn Bay, 2021-10-20)

#592

I first went to the kiosks with my grandparents .
They are a part of Rhos history

Ronnie Dean (Abergele, 2021-10-20)

#594

I visit the Cayley Kiosk regularly and they are lovely people x

Cheryl Clancy (Prestatyn , 2021-10-20)

#596

A great place pluss so many use it.
Also the plan is waste of local funds to distroy somthing that just needs tiding up

David Loades (Colwyn bay, 2021-10-22)

#598

It's my favourite kiosk to go and it's also accessible from being in a wheelchair

Clark Shiels (Abergele, 2021-10-23)

#600

I visit Rhos on sea with my family and extended family and we use these kiosks every time we visit. Always busy and lovely to see. Great to pick up a well needed drink, bite to eat or sit down along the way, especially as its a long walk for some.
The Cayley is like an iconic landmark and will be a big loss. Please ensure replacements are created and names remain for the families who currently run them.
