Out dated policy, needs reviewing

Caroline Collis (CH7 1RY, 2021-10-05)

My daughter got piecing and it doesn't effect her education.

Maxine Wright (Mold, 2021-10-05)

#3

We need to stop focusing on making children look the same, allow them freedom to express themselves and focus on their wellbeing instead of insecurities

Carla Tellett (Buckley, 2021-10-05)

#7

Piercings, make up and hair doesn't effect learning.

Jenna Griffith (Leeswood, 2021-10-05)

#8

Definitely out dated and behind with the times!! Kids need support and restricting the way they want to look and express themselves is nothings to do with teachers who do not adhere to the same rules either!!

Sharon Edwards (Connahs quay, 2021-10-05)

#12

Piercings doesn't effect your knowledge or school work

Samantha Williams (MOLD, 2021-10-05)

#16

The school policy is outdated! Piercings don’t effect the way you learn! If a teen can choose their own gender or hair colour ext they should be able to wear more than one set of ear rings! Hello 2021 😃

Hayley Anderson (Mold, 2021-10-05)

#18

I'm signing because the adults should be setting the example. If half the school has no rules in regards to this then they need to have some if the rest of the school is going to follow in the same path.

Jennifer Carr (Sealand, 2021-10-05)

#21

Im signing this as I agree with all that was said in this petition. As a Alun school student myself I think it’s ridiculous that we have to cover our piercings up aswell as only being allowed one pair of studs. Having more than one pair of earrings does not effect our learning so therefore the school has no need to let us not have them.

Freya Barrett (Hawarden , 2021-10-06)

#24

Damn right, how is my piercing going to affect my GCSE’s? Teachers taking the time to shout at us is more detrimental to our education than a tiny piece of metal.

Seren Jones (Mold, 2021-10-06)

#26

The school cannot allow piercings for a select few, it is discrimination.

Karen McHarrie (Almunecar , 2021-10-06)

#29

I believe it should be up to parents

Mandy Parry (Flintshire, 2021-10-06)

#30

This is a serious struggle for majority of people i’m high school and distracts them from work anyway because of the pain

Lola Rose (Flintshire , 2021-10-06)

#34

Absolutely agree :) like how is multiple studs hurting anyone lmfao

Reyhan A (Buckley, 2021-10-08)

#39

i will help people express themselves

Connie Ferguson (Mold, 2021-10-08)

#42

I agree that letting pupils have piercings better reflects society and doesn’t show the stigma that piercings are unprofessional

Sophie Roberts (Mold , 2021-10-08)

#45

Needs to stop

Thomas Croston (Mold , 2021-10-08)

#53

In an environment where our clothes are decided for us, we are deprived of self-expression. Letting students have piercings and dyed hair etc. will not impede learning, it will aide it due to the students feeling more comfortable with how they look. If others get distracted by this self-expression, they they need to learn self-control.

Grace Ketland (Mold, 2021-10-08)

#54

I got piercings lol

Meredith Waring (Flintshire, 2021-10-08)

#55

I think that students should have the right to be able to express themselves in their appearance and they may feel uncomfortable not being able to do so.

Leah Fallan (Yellow steak , 2021-10-08)

#59

I'm signing because I support this petition

Joe Mamma (Mold, 2021-10-08)

#60

Where is the equality you keep talking about at? If both sixth formers and staff can have more than one piercing, why are we out of the question?

Hai Liu (Connahs Quay, 2021-10-08)

#65

Because I feel like students should be allowed to express themselves through their appearance without it “distracting them from their education”. Students might feel more comfortable and happy in the school environment if they can Express themselves through this small thing.

Isabel Axon (Mold, 2021-10-08)

#67

I’m signing this petition because I agree with what you say.

Annabelle Tickle (Chester, 2021-10-08)

#73

We should be able to express ourselves if we can't do that with clothes why not piercings?

Grace Edge (Mold, 2021-10-08)

#75

People express themselves throughout their appearance, and having the amount of rings you are wanting to wear should be your choice not anybody else’s

Grace Hughes (Holywell , 2021-10-08)

#76

I agree that this is a stupid policy and doesn’t allow students to show their true selves

Katie Grafton (Mold, 2021-10-08)

#77

Alun school is all about "self expression" but dont allow you to have a few harmless piercings.

Emily Perks (Flintshire, 2021-10-08)

#78

I care about the cause

Emily Perks (Flintshirr, 2021-10-08)

#84

i’m signing because the school policy is really outdated and is ridiculous how we’re only aloud one set of studs. realistically what does other piercings do to our learning. it doesn’t affect it.

liz craig (flint , 2021-10-08)

#86

the only thing that distracts my learning is my crippling autism! not piercings!

casey vause (Yorkshire, 2021-10-08)

#87

I’m signing because I agree with what they are trying to accomplish

USA Kennan (Mold , 2021-10-08)

#92

I care about this cause.

Emily Perks (Flintshire, 2021-10-08)

#93

I think its stupid and that it doesn’t effect our education

Lois Wood (Holywell, 2021-10-08)

#96

I'm signing this petition because i've always been a strong believer of self expression, and have brung up many discussions with my head of house and the heads of year previously about allowing dyed hair and facial piercings.

Larna Fielder (Mold, 2021-10-09)

#107

Piercings don't affect your ability to learn, so why should we be told to remove them?

Eva Ashton (Mold, 2021-10-09)

#114

a tiny piece of metal will not affect my learning

ffion liversage (mold, 2021-10-10)

#119

I’m singing because as a student of the alun school I completely agree with that it’s time wasting and doesn’t affect our learning

Sophie Sumner (Wales, 2021-10-10)

#123

piercings do not affect our learning just get rid of the rule

Katie Gander (Flintshire, 2021-10-11)

#125

I feel that the Alun is too strict with their rule to do with piercings

Morgan Underwood (Mold, 2021-10-11)

#127

It's more than just piercings, it's about control.

Adam Partridge (Mold, 2021-10-11)

#129

I want everyone to be able to express them selves in there own way

Fraya Gleave (Brynffordd, 2021-10-11)

#131

I think piercings look nice and there's no reason people cant wear them.

Elena Jones (Mold, 2021-10-11)

#132

Sorry but some pins in my nose ain't gonna make me fail my maths test is it

Ashton Henson (Connahs Quay, 2021-10-11)

#134

I believe that the school shouldn’t override the desion of the parents of the child, as they have spent money on it and that is what they want. School should be an educational place, not a place where you can’t be yourself!

Georgia Jones (Flintshire , 2021-10-11)

#136

my school doesn’t let us be creative and show our personality’s with facial and body piercings, hair and nails. Leaving students feeling not themselves and making them miss education

annabelle navarro-howe (mold, 2021-10-12)

#140

i agree with the cause.

izzy wynn (mold, 2021-10-13)

#141

an extra pair of earrings or a nose stud does not affect our learning!!

Maia Moran (Mold, 2021-10-13)

#142

Young people have a right to self-expression!!

Nathan Butler (Mold, 2021-10-13)

#143

I’m signing because I don’t think wearing nose piercings or more than 1 piercing is a health and safety risk and effect learning, if there’s a plaster on it.

Alesha Bowdley (Mold, 2021-10-14)

#144

piercings and dyed hair don't effect our learning like bruh

daisy nightingale (sealand, 2021-10-14)

#148

Im signing this because I believe school needs to update the school uniform rules

Jack Reynolds (Mold, 2021-10-16)

#149

I very strongly agree with the statement

Mia Smart (mold, 2021-10-18)

#150

i completely agree with this statement.

Ava Moran (mynydd isa , 2021-10-18)

#153

I feel that having piercings does boost your confidence especially if you do have low self esteem and can’t see how does it effect our learning in any way
