This is not debatable, vaccines are NOT for everyone and people are severly hurt by them. It should be free choice for all and remain that way. Unless the university are willing to tsle full responsibility for this decision and pay for all medical expenses, harm and death, etc because of these injections, which could built up to billions of rands. I speak from personal experiencend not from a conspiracy view point. I almost lost my husband. I will NEVER allow my children to go through this experience again.

Louise Stadler (Paarl , 2021-12-03)

#1226

I do not agree in forced vaccination.

The word “mandate” is defined as “the authority to carry out a policy, regarded as given by the electorate to a party or candidate that wins an election and an official order or commission to do something. A commission by which a party is entrusted to perform a service, especially without payment and with indemnity against loss by that part.” No public efforts have been made to conclusively allow students to offer their opinions on the decisions that affect our lives both on campus and off campus, a violation of our right to democracy. Furthermore, no electorates may proceed without the official documentation containing certified statistical evidence that provides sufficient to support this act of authority. Lastly, no insurance of indemnity against possible loss has been exercised, thus procedure is not thoroughly conducted.

Brianna Pelham (Paarl, 2021-12-03)

#1252

I believe people have the right to choose.

Joan Dzimwasha (Cape Town, 2021-12-03)

#1253

Believe in freedom of choice

Gesa Wolhuter (Bellville, 2021-12-04)

#1254

I believe in bodily integrity and freedom of choice regarding my body. To force an experimental drug on young people is just plain foolishness and that in the light that you are fearful of getting sued when someone dies. People die every day. Institutions gets sued every day. Get your legal team in fighting order. You will have more cases against you for vaccine injuries than you will have for death. Let the ones who feel vulnerable take the experimental medicine and give our young people the choice to live “vaccine” free. You claim to help form independent thinkers…. Now live your motto!

Johanna Cilliers (Durbanville , 2021-12-04)

#1256

This is madness!!

Pierre Louw (Clanwilliam, 2021-12-04)

#1258

I am signing this because my children and I do want the choice of taking this experimental jab or not because the longterm side effects are unknown. Also the process of manufacturing this jabs are against our belief.

Maria Cheistina Goldie (Stellenbosch, 2021-12-04)

#1263

It’s unethical, unconstitutional and we have basic human rights to choose what enters our bodies. As long as it’s experimental, this should not be mandated. Let’s test the science at the end of 2023.

Sonja Whittaker (Ballito, 2021-12-06)

#1264

Firstly young people can successfully fight the virus , vaccinated people still can transmit the virus and I believe in freedom to choose

Louki Christodoulou (Durban, 2021-12-06)

#1268

Marietjie Cornelissen (Kathu, 2021-12-11)

#1279

We are living in a democratic country where these students can choose for themselves to be vaccinated or not. My body My choice!!!

Gregory Klaas (Sunnyside Pretoria, 2021-12-12)

#1280

Am signing to stop our youngsters being pushed into a system which they have no right to. They will have no freedom!

Ziggy Heide (Durban, 2021-12-13)

#1281

The Covid 19 id NOT a vaccine - its a known FACT that its an experimental drug.

Mervin Hannay (Johannesburg, 2021-12-13)

#1282

I am appalled by this decision. Sad to be associated with this institution

Richard Edwards (Cape town , 2021-12-13)

#1283

The long term safety of the vaccine has not been proven.

Few kids die of covid, so the population can afford the risk of getting covid. Adults should not decide for kids. Adults can get the vaccination for themselves.

Rochelle Ueckermann (Stellenbosch, 2021-12-14)

#1284

Stellenbosch University is infringing on the students rights by wanting to mandate the vaccine.

Jolanda Liebenberg (Johannesburg , 2021-12-14)

#1285

I believe that I have natural immunity and that covid is just the common cold and is being drawn out of proportion by big pharmacy and is a money making scheme where all governments are involved. FOLLOW THE MONEY

Anand Naicker (Cape Town , 2021-12-14)

#1286

I am opposed to arrogant individuals that belong to secret organisations thinking they can rule the lives of other people and just walk all over everyone's legal and human rights breaking any and all laws as they go without any regard knowing the corrupt courts and secret organisations in line with the funding by dubious philanthropist manipulators will protect them and their wrong doing.

BARRY JAMES Mellor (Wonderboom South, 2021-12-14)

#1287

This is stealing my life!

Chrispa Cloete (Pretoria, 2021-12-14)

#1288

I don’t agree with mandatory vaccines
It is against my constitutional right to body autonomy

Leanne Rencken (Ballito , 2021-12-16)

#1293

Because of my two grandchildren

Lona Gainsford (George, 2021-12-16)

#1294

It's a trial drug not a vaccine. It an illegal trial drug¡ it arrived without an Investigators brochure (IB) and therefore no transparency of toxicology. Just Google Phizer criminal record as see why they have 4.3 billion dollar laws suits against them.
Also look at Israel, Iceland, Singapore and the Netherlands before you claim it provides herd immunity. See "Our world in Data"

Marietha Nel (Paarl , 2021-12-16)

#1296

It is not necessary to vaccinate the young, they already have a strong immune system to fight off SARS-COV-2. This means they are not at risk or are a risk to society!

Beverley Langkilde (Cape Town, 2021-12-16)

#1297

The vaccines have many side Effects and is not tested in the long run. There are many other medicine that works effectively against Covid.

Mia Du Preez (Paarl, 2021-12-16)

#1299

I have bodily integrity and freedom of choice. Stop this tyranny.

Hannetjie Venter (Secunda, 2021-12-16)

#1310

I believe the medical community is going against their ethics by forcing vaccines!

Angelique Steyn (Somerset West , 2021-12-31)

#1313

I dont support the vax mandate due to the unknown long term effects

Jannick Nieuwoudt (Stellenbosch, 2022-01-05)

#1316

it is an experimental vaccine
I already had covid 19 so I have antibodies
I prefer to rely on my natural immunity
I want to be free to make my own decisions regarding vaccination and not to be forced to take it.
I am more afraid of the side effects of the vaccine than what I am of Covid 19

Jan Nieuwoudt (Clanwilliam , 2022-01-07)

#1317

There have been no long-term studies into potential side effects. People who take this should be taking it at their own risk instead of forced into it.

Juan Yeap (Ukiah, 2022-01-09)

#1319

These are patently punitive measures imposed to strong-arm University staff and students to undergo a radical new experimental medical procedure for which there is still no clear long-term testing. The public participation process was done in the most duplicitous manner possible when the university was closed and almost all staff and students were away on holiday.

Herman Geyer (Strand, 2022-01-11)

#1324

1)My body my choice

Jeandre Louw (Stellenbosch , 2022-01-11)

#1325

Vaccines or any form of medication should be optional

Jonathan Gundry (Klipheuwel, 2022-01-12)

#1326

Tyranny is no way to govern. Mandates are not motivation or encouragent. If the individual cannot choose, determine their own way in a society that can no longer be called a democracy.

Mandla Hlwatika (Johannesburg, 2022-01-15)

#1327

I am signing this petition because I am against the forced vaccination. People should make their own decisions to be vaccinated or not.

Ina Kruger (Strand, 2022-01-15)

#1334

I find it illogical to mandate a vaccine when studies clearly show that vaccinated people can get reinfected and spread Covid19 in the same way as unvaccinated people. While other countries stop and reverse mandatory vaccination, the University of Stellenbosch wants ro proceed with a society-divisive measure that does not produce the results hoped for. I am very sad to see that this alma mater of mine chooses to jump on the Government band wagon instead of being on the forefront of finding new, better, more society-building measures. Mandatory vaccinations will just be destructive in more ways than one.

Gerhard Frenzel (Durbanville, 2022-02-01)

#1335

Freedom of choice

Garth Carnell (Cape Town, 2022-02-04)

#1336

My son had covid twice and went through the whole ordeal with a few panados, 4 days later, healthy again. He has natural immunity against covid. I dont feel that he needs a vaccination which can or may have terrible side effects like thousands of people out there.

Elaine Lintz (Cape Town, 2022-02-09)

#1337

It has become very clear that this injection is not effective and extremely harmful. If the University continues with a mandate they should be held criminally liable for the harm they are causing.
