I agree that the fence should stay, it is under 6ft and adds visual benefit to property & area by looking tidy. You can tell the work has been done by a professional tradesman.

I think this is an improvement to the area by someone who cares about their property.

Becky Nicholson (Leeds, 2021-04-30)

Of course this fence is perfectly fine!
Only an utter idiot would accept a complaint.
It looks very smart actually.

This is harming no one seems malicious to me

This garden looks tidy and well protected. I see no valid reason why the fence could be complained about, especially after a year after erecting.

It’s stupid. The fence looks lovely and protects that persons home

Sarah Hollingsworth (Leeds, 2021-04-30)

nothing wrong with it and it keep them secure

I believe that the fence should stay without lowering it.

I believe this couple have a right to build a fence to feel secure. It’s tidy not eye saw so there is no problem!

Lindsey Bryan (Leeds, 2021-04-30)

There clearly is no issue with the fence the only issue seems to be with the people who complained about a 5ft fence and how good it looks..! These people are in there rights to keep that fence up without planning permission and should be aloud to keep it..!

I’m signing because I had a similar issue living in an ex council property. Many long term renting residents don’t want change and are jealous of improvements. This guy is saving police time and protecting his property. Stop wasting council time on minor issues and sort out the real housing problems like damp properties.

I think fencing could be allowed in the front of houses to keep potential offenders out of the property and also to reduce notice from the road.

Darryl Banks (Leeds, 2021-05-01)

My son is having the same problem

David Barugh (Leeds , 2021-05-01)

if the council website says 2m then they are in the wrong for giving conflicting information

Sarah McCormick (Leeds, 2021-05-01)

I dont believe that a 5ft fence is exactly of a height to obstruct views, cause problems at all and this one is tasteful, well made, helps privacy, security and is actually totally unoffensive. People should be entitled to feel safe at home.

It's their garden and right to put this up

I'm a resident of this area, and don't think this fellow resident's request is unreasonable.

Well done

Vicky Whitehead (Leeds, 2021-05-02)

I think it's perfectly acceptable for someone to protect his home and his belongings.

Jacqueline Faulkner (LEEDS, 2021-05-03)

I understand that a fence under 6 ft is allowed without planning permission

Claire Fearon (Leeds, 2021-05-04)

The householder has put up a very nice fence to enhance his property and to make it more secure and I support them.

Lynda Mitton (Leeds , 2021-05-05)

This fence is lower than the 2M requirement for planning permission

Leigh Lampley (CASTLEFORD, 2021-05-06)

Absolutely ridiculous

Wilson Ann (Selby, 2021-05-06)

#868

I think it looks lovely and not obstructive in any way and I also thought it was allowed as it's under 6ft

Linda Whitehead (Leeds, 2021-05-08)

The fence provides essential security to the occupant of the house and it should remain exactly as it is.

Daniel Fearns (Harrogate, 2021-05-09)

#874

The fence looks smart tidy and would be nice to see others in the area follow their standards

Julie Forster (Leeds, 2021-05-10)

The security of one's home is more important than a single individuals opinion.

Matthew Russell (Leeds, 2021-05-11)

Looks tidy.

David Riley (Leeds, 2021-05-11)

#879

There is nothing wrong with this fence it isn't an eye sore it's just down to petty jealousy that the council have been called.

Dawn Hornby (Leeds, 2021-05-12)

#880

I see nothing wrong with this fence down Lea farm drive have a much higher fence and lots of hedges are immense and not looked after. The fence in question is tidy and clean. Please leave it alone.

Pat Lee (Leeds, 2021-05-12)

This is an improvement to the street. Looks solid and tidy!

Belinda Morris (Leeds, 2021-05-13)

This is securing the property it is not affecting anyone. And also it is. Below the height required . There are privets and trees way higher and not maintained around the local area blocking footpaths but people do not complain . I’m sure if you read. Up on it the lady does not need planning permission as it is not a permanent fixture as it is made of wood . The fence is well done there are many properties that look unsightly. Around many area’s but you say nothing .

I'm signing because I'm in the same situation, simler fence, you try and better yourselves but lcc just try and knock you down .i read a post today about a 25 feet modle shark sticking out of a roof down south the council apposed it for 6 years and then gave it heritage protection .look it up you wo t believe it .Good luck with your fence it looks great 👍

Carl Griffin (Leeds, 2021-09-17)

It's pathetic and we are having the same problem with our neighbour over a side fence. I hope this got resolved it's absolutely disgusting.

Janine Kilbride (Leeds, 2021-10-16)
