Penrhos is a haven for local people and visitors to continue to enjoy in its natural state. It deserves to be protected and preserved for the benefit of present and future generations. We all need havens such as Penrhos for our physical and emotional wellbeing.

We have a duty of care to preserve our beautiful country and costal area as much as possible for our endangered wildlife species.

Debra Evans (ORMSKIRK, 2021-03-03)

This land is rich in Heritage and should be preserved for future generations to be able to view. Anglesey Council say they like to preserve Heritage but on multiple ocassions due not uphold there statements. All records should be able to be viewed by Public. Greenspace should be preserved also as rich in diverse wildlife.

Mrs Marie Lympany (Llanfairpwll, 2021-03-03)

#1222

Keep this beauty spot as it is

Lee Horton (Worcester, 2021-03-03)

#1227

I do not want the woodland and wildlife at Penrhos to be destroyed. It helps relieve mental health problems and is essential to all residents of Anglesey especially Holyhead which is in need of regeneration

This proposal will result in the destruction of valuable countryside, and is contrary to all conservation policies.

linda kinani (HOLYHEAD, 2021-03-03)

#1245

This is so wrong to clear all this beautiful place that I have known all my life .

Phyllis Calvert (Holyhead Anglesey, 2021-03-03)

#1251

At a time when we should be embracing and expanding our natural ecosystems, I believe that it would be a mistake not to properly consider the negative impact that such a Holiday Park would have on Angleseys wildlife.

Paul Harry (Brecon, 2021-03-03)

#1255

So much of our beautiful countryside is being destroyed and our rare species, are losing their habitat we need to Dave the planet not add more emissions keep this woodland for future generations not only human but also all the creatures birds and mammals that call this home

Sue Inskip-Clark (Preston, 2021-03-03)

#1267

An area of beautiful wildlife and coastal trails should be preserved for future generations. I've visited since I was 5 yrs old, now aged 67. It's remained unchanged virtually in 60yrs. It should remain so for future generations.

Alison Oc onnell (Manchester , 2021-03-03)

#1268

The destruction of the precious woodland, a national treasure should not be allowed. We need the trees not lodges and car parks.

Anna Vasilieva (Charmouth , 2021-03-03)

Penrhos is a vital to the protection of red squirrels.
It has dozens of wild birds that feed on the mud flats
It is also a wonderful place to come, walk, recharge and enjoy nature.

Laura Mason (Hartwell, 2021-03-03)

#1279

I am not convinced that the planning application has been properly dealt with.

Malcolm Budd (Menai Bridge, 2021-03-03)

Want are nature reserve saved!

Shane Owen (Holyhead , 2021-03-03)

Anglesey Council have no right to ignore eco sites. They are corrupt!!

Sarah Wright (Anglesey, 2021-03-03)

#1288

Wild places must be preserved

Diane Lee (Cwm Penmachno , 2021-03-03)

#1289

I am a regular visitor to Anglesey and would question why this amazing nature reserve is being proposed for development. Surely Anglesey County council should be protecting this environmentally important site, not developing it with no thought to the local and more far reaching environmental tourism it brings to the island.

Sharon Shore (Stockport, 2021-03-03)

#1290

We need to save our Penrhos for the future generations

Ann Parry (Holyhead, 2021-03-03)

#1291

We are losing too many habitats and many species with them. Save our wildlife for future generations.

Lyn Walton (Risca, 2021-03-03)

#1293

i'm signing this petition because the importance of nature reserves, especially in this current climate, is imperative. This doesn't comply with the core message of Wales' Future Generation Act - please reconsider.

Bethan Robinson (SHEFFIELD, 2021-03-03)

#1294

So beautiful, peaceful,no where like it on the island.Being disable no worries. Plenty of room for wheelchairs .

Ann Thomas (Amlwch, 2021-03-03)

#1297

Despite local government promising to protect our natural spaces and prioritise the environment, this development has been permitted. It represents loss of habitat for rarer animals and birds, loss of business for local independent stores and the loss of a much used public space.

Adele Thomas (Denbigh, 2021-03-03)

#1299

We need to protect our precious green spaces

Ruth Deborah Warhurst (Marian-glas , 2021-03-03)

#1301

I'm signing this petition as I feel strongly about the need to protect this very important natural space. I have been enjoying Penrhos Nature Park for over 40 years & I cannot stress how important this beautiful area is to all the wildlife (flora & fauna). They have a vital red squirrel colony. The red squirrel population is under threat & we need to preserve it's habitat. During this global pandemic it has shown how important nature & natural areas have been for our health, both physical & mental. We have to preserve Penrhos Nature Park for the future.

Ann Morris (Manchester, 2021-03-03)

#1304

The nature park is far more important than tourism ...the animals that live there and the trees that belong there help us all to appreciate life and the natural beauty hiw can tourism be more important

Talboys Stells (Holyhead, Anglesey , 2021-03-03)

#1310

Because it has already got a purpose and a beautiful area and the Red squirrels need to be able to live there

Brendan Anderson (Ponteland, 2021-03-03)

#1311

All wildlife have the right to live.

Paul Smith (Newcastle upon tyne , 2021-03-03)

#1313

The fact that Wylfa B is no longer going ahead changes the conditions on which planning was allowed

Ken Jones (Holyhead , 2021-03-03)

#1316

It's important to protect our native wildlife particularly red squirrels which are in danger of extinction

Chris Bush (Cumbria, 2021-03-03)

#1319

We now know that nature is essential to our survival and places like this need to protected.

Brian Smith (Bourne end, 2021-03-03)

#1322

We need to have woodland to re introduce our native red squirrel and erradicamte the invasive grey

Malcolm Donnison (Durham, 2021-03-03)

#1324

I am a regular visitor to Anglesey and was delighted to see red squirrels return to the island. It would be a travesty if this hard work were to be brushed away through ill advised planning

Peter Muldoon (Southport, 2021-03-03)

#1325

This is a beautiful area which I have visited with my wife and friends and I oppose the proposed development.

Roger Ford (Shrewsbury , 2021-03-03)

#1326

We need to preserve the area on naturel beauty .

Nigel Davies (Aberystwyth, 2021-03-03)

#1330

I have visited this area regularly and cannot understand how a reserve, gifted to the people, can be sold for unnecessary development.

Paul Brooksbank (CREWE, 2021-03-03)

#1331

Cadwch y lle fel mae o i'w adael i'n plant werthfawrogi y llefydd prin yma am y canrifoedd i ddod.

Owen Jones (Pwllheli, Gwynedd, 2021-03-03)

#1335

I find it alarming the lack of green space and what we do have is being torn down for nothing more than greed. Nature means everything to a small depressed island where there is nothing but hardship. This nature park is fun and educational for our young and old alike and is needed for the islands mental health. This planning seriously needs to be reconsidered for the well-being of the local people. Absolutely shocking.

Yvonne Jones (Anglesey, 2021-03-03)

#1336

I would like to see our native red squirrels thrive, for this to happen we need places like this.

Martin Cook (Hastings , 2021-03-03)

Sylvia Nicklin (TYN-Y-GONGL, 2021-03-03)

I'm signing because we are in a climate crisis. We need to protect what we have left of nature and its inhabitants. We are meant to be a protector of nature as humans. I'm doing my part to save it. Thanks.

Claire Morgan (Bangor, 2021-03-03)

All my family here and there have been there and adore the place the wildlife the natural beauty. Please do not destroy this lovely place.

Brian Whetnall (Perth, 2021-03-04)

#1377

It's an outrage that property developers from other areas come into our natural and wild island from wherever they live and think that they can ruthlessly commandeer what they believe to be "spare land" and desecrating our AONB, all to make a healthy profit (for them). What do these people ever care about the communities they destroy? Penrhos is and has been a much-loved nature reserve for many years, including a healthy red squirrel population which is a great draw for locals and visitors alike, but these plans will put a stop to all that, with the planned 456 lodges as well as the additional facilities designed to keep guests spending in the holiday village. It’s all down to money, and it stinks!!

Liz Griffiths (Valley, 2021-03-04)

#1382

This is the only wooded area in holyhead, plus it's thriving with nature.
It should be a crime to harm it in any way

Daniel griffiths (Holyhead, 2021-03-04)

#1385

This is a Nature Reserve ! It is precious and is home to many delicate species that aren't thriving elsewhere in the country. It needs respect and protection. Guard it with your lives!

Reb Harry (Cardiff, 2021-03-04)

#1387

Penrhos is a beautiful part of our island where people like to walk, enjoy the nature and beauty of the coastline and woodland. Many walk their dogs there and come to relax. It’s a flat area so many elder folk come as it’s straight and they can take their time enjoy the park, feeding the ducks, bird watching and ambling etc. It will be a great loss to the island’s people as well as the tourists that also come there. There are many other areas fitting for industry to use, please don’t destroy our beautiful nature reserve .

Linda Short (Cemaes Bay, 2021-03-04)

#1389

We must hold on to wild areas, for our planet to stay healthy & in turn, humans will stay healthy.

Poppy Thomas (Bangor, 2021-03-04)

#1394

Jacob Parry (Anglesey, 2021-03-04)

#1395

I'm signing in the interests of transparency and because the Future Generations Act warrants reconsideration of the original decision.

Richard Mills (Menai Bridge, 2021-03-04)

#1398

Penrhos is an area of marine and ecological biodiversity and should remain accessible to the local people of Anglesey and beyond. It should be saved for our future generations.

Gaynor Patricia Bradley (Drummore, Stranraer, 2021-03-04)
