#1065

It's a beautiful place with amazing nature where our children can play. I spent hours and hours in here through my childhood with family and friends. It a safe place to be

Ceri Sara (Holyhead , 2021-03-02)

#1067

I have a static caravan at Trearddur Bay and have spent my months on the island visiting Penrhos frequently. It is an incredible habit with incredible flora and a wonderful habitat for animals and birds. Tunicliff’s seat is just one historical treasure that Penrhos offers both residents and visitors unforgettable peace and tranquillity! Surely one of Anglesey’s irreplaceable treasures.

Christina MacEachran (Stockport, 2021-03-02)

#1068

This application is totally out of step with all modern thinking and attitudes regarding both climate change and the preservation of our fragile environment

Martin Sampson (Holyhead , 2021-03-02)

#1074

Penrhos is an important part of the community and its imperative to give youngsters a positive place to go. It's great for their mental health and could even save some from misusing drugs as a means of escape

Mrs Pemberton (WREXHAM, 2021-03-02)

#1076

It is a mega natural habitat for many different species who have a place on Anglesey

Victoria Cherry (Cheadle, 2021-03-02)

#1077

I lived on Anglesey for 10 years when I was growing up. Pen Rhos was a big part of my life. And when I had kids I used to take them back when I could and they loved it. I was hoping it would be a part of my Grandchildrens lives too. Please do not allow this beautiful piece of Anglesey to disappear. I think it is more valuable to people as it is now rather than holiday homes. Please leave this beautiful nature reserve alone.

Paula Cook (Runcorn Cheshire, 2021-03-02)

#1084

I love to visit this place, walk my dogs and to actually be almost guaranteed to see red squirrels, never seen any elsewhere!

#1087

Sssi sites should be saved

Carole Salter (Nrougjyony, 2021-03-02)

#1089

This development can’t go ahead. Things have moved on in 8 years and we need to protect our country side and climate. Cutting trees down is contrary to this important need.

Jane Fairbrother (Glossop , 2021-03-02)

#1095

This is a beautiful place where we take our dog and have taken all our dogs through the years including playing with the grandchildren

Johnny Webster (Holyhead , 2021-03-02)

Geraint Evans (London , 2021-03-02)

We need these lovely spaces for wildlife to thrive & for people to enjoy.

Dena Jones (Bangor, 2021-03-03)

#1121

Penrhos Nature Reserve is unique in wildlife and natural beauty and it is home to red squirrels. The planning permission to destroy thausands of trees and an established nature reserve used by the local community for many decades and in fact dedicated to the local community by Anglesey Aluminium seems not only against Nature, but the extent of the planning permission disregards not only wildlife and the community and the fact that this area was given to the community, but also common sense. 450 holiday houses and the complete destruction of habitat and a false promise of hundreds of jobs. It makes one wonder, it is the natural beauty that attracts visitors and then the council allows for its destruction and completely disregards the local community. There is nothing of this kind left on Holy Island nor indeed on Anglesey once this has been destroyed. Natural Resources Wales have to my knowledge declared this development as not in line with regulations, but have been shamefully quiet since.
Development should be sensitive and intelligent, taking into account nature and the community and the amount of tourism that is beneficial for the island, but this is driven by greed with no regard for anything but the profit of a few privat individuals.

Christian Handschug (Holyhead, 2021-03-03)

#1129

This proposed development will cheat our future generations of what is rightfully theirs. Penrhos should belong to us, our children and our children's children. It is one of the only places locally when people can have a walk with their families and boost their physical and mental health. It is a place where children can learn and be free. It is a special haven which should be available to all Anglesey people and not offered at a price to visitors who will just make an appearance and go.
This area should be preserved in its natural state. It is ours. Don't sell us short!

Jeannie Evans (Llanfairpwll, 2021-03-03)

#1130

Penrhos is an AOB and should be left as such. There are other places that this development can take place at. I am not against Land and Lakes developing our area but it has to be the right area....and penrhos is not the right area

Mark Queen (HOLYHEAD, 2021-03-03)

#1131

I think this application needs far more discussion and investigation.

Liz Bourne (Welshpool, 2021-03-03)

#1135

I am signing because I have seen the extensive range of habitats Penhros has first hand - it is an utter disgrace that this planning app was approved without an independent ecology report and shambolic that the LA doesn’t keep its own records on species and habitats in its own area. There is so much wrong with the handling and considerations that have gone into the approval process.

Richard Shaw (Telford , 2021-03-03)

#1139

I’m signing this because I enjoy the natural beauty of this area and feel strongly that any development here is detrimental.

Neville Pearce (Menai Bridge, 2021-03-03)

#1141

I’ve been a regular visitor - and lover of Anglesey for the last 30 years, and would hate to see this beautiful, currently unspoiled, place become irrevocably changed for the worse. We need to be made fully aware of exactly what the developer’s plans are, for this area of outstanding beauty, before it is too late. What is done, cannot be undone. In this current world climate, we should be doing our utmost to protect nature and the environment, and not to serve greed.

Meryl Heath (Chester , 2021-03-03)

#1144

The destruction of a beauty spot and wildlife for a NO purpose holiday park.

Peter Owen (Llanfairpwll , 2021-03-03)

#1146

Nature reserves need protecting.

Laura Hudson (Glan Conwy , 2021-03-03)

Phil Griff (MACCLESFIELD, 2021-03-03)

#1157

This needs saving

David Evans (Winsford, 2021-03-03)

#1158

It’s a necessity.

Chris Tomlinson (Enderby, 2021-03-03)

#1159

I am signing this to save our beautiful Penrhos Nature Park in Holyhead and stop the planning going ahead. I have lived here all my life 55 years and love enjoying the beauty of this park and its wildlife and wish for my grandchildren and future generations to enjoy it too.

Eirian Turner (Holyhead , 2021-03-03)

#1160

Openness required to allow public scrutiny when any proposals affect our local community and environment.

Colin Davis (Holyhead, 2021-03-03)

#1163

I love the place, I love nature please dont destroy this beautiful place

Shirley Jones (Llanfechell, amlwch, 2021-03-03)

#1168

I frequently visit Penrhos, and it would be devestating to lose such a beautiful, historic and natural area full of essential wildlife.

Richard Williams (Holyhead, 2021-03-03)

#1172

Anglesey is one my favourite holiday destinations in Wales. Anglesey is just stunning and to think they are proposing putting a caravan park here is disgusting. Having walked Penrhos and seeing all its beauty and what it has to offer with its red squirrels, flora and fauna and history it would be a shame to see this go. Where do you propose these squirrels which are protected go? Surely the natural beauty of the area is what keeps people coming back not a caravan park. Preserving the local area, its beauty and everything it has to offer should be your priority. Progress doesn't always mean it's a good thing! Money shouldn't talk!

Kirsty Daker (Telford, 2021-03-03)

#1174

Just leave the earth to live as it was ment to be. Stop destroying beautiful places and wildlife. What will your childrens children think?

Katrina Moran (Cheshire , 2021-03-03)

#1181

Loss of valuable habitat

Stephen McEnhill (Holyhead, 2021-03-03)

#1182

Its an important natural space on a treeless Ynys Cybi

Simon Lancaster-Jones (Llanddoged, 2021-03-03)

#1184

From holyhead, dont want to lose more natural habitats to build more concrete blocks!!!

Rhian Griffith (Liverpool, 2021-03-03)

#1185

I’m signing this petition because there is no need for a new road. I agree it might make people journey to work etc faster but destroying the wildlife habitats we’re all kind of species and types of animals live is ridiculous there is no good excuse to be destroying the lad. We have to keep those species protected for our eco system to run as smoothly as possible. It’s not only good for wildlife but it’s help those with mental health. It gives them a safe and quiet place to walk and clear there head. It also used for educational purposes teaching the younger generation how to care for wildlife. So stick your road somewhere else because we don’t want it !!

Bethany Burrell (Cemaes bay, 2021-03-03)

#1187

I grew up in the area and am saddened and disappointed the prospect of Penrose nature reserve being lost at the detrement to the local people, visitors and precious wildlife,; A place of enjoyment and fond memories for many families.

Emma Marsh (Auckland, 2021-03-03)

#1188

It’s a travisity to do what they want to do with this area of outstanding natural beauty!!

Sarah Hughes (Cheadle, 2021-03-03)

#1190

Penrhos is an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is the home of red squirrels and many other species. We do not need this awful development.

Elaine Frances (Wirral, 2021-03-03)

#1193

I'm signing because I oppose vehemently the Tory changes to local planning laws. Our green spaces are being 'stolen' by off shore based developers, who have no interest beyond making big bucks at our country's expense and the further reduction of habitat for wildlife. Humans need the vibrancy of nature to ensure our physical and mental well being. Bio-diversity means we are as dependent on the health of countryside as we on the water in our reservoirs.

Rod Leach (Buxton, 2021-03-03)

#1199

I’m signing to stop the planning permission going ahead at Penrhos Nature reserve

Heidi Jones (Holyhead, 2021-03-03)
