#801

The reserve is a vital natural reserve and the home for many species. It is also a place where many local people go to be closer to nature. It is essential for the well-being of residents.

ruth johnson (Holyhead, 2021-03-02)

#803

This is such a special place for nature, in particular, red squirrels. We need to preserve this habitat and not destroy it.

Stephen Powroznyk (Amlwch, 2021-03-02)

#809

Development should never be destructive of a natural resource.

Jean Cape (Cefn Mawr, 2021-03-02)

#810

This is a special place that needs to stay special.

Sue Bond (Benllech, 2021-03-02)

#814

I support the Petition.

Nelson Hutchinson (Valley, 2021-03-02)

#817

Let's leave some natural areas alone.

Linda Simcox (Deganwy, 2021-03-02)

#819

Dwi’n arwyddo oherwydd fe hoffwn gadw’r parc fel ag y mae heb unrhyw ddatblygiadau adeiladau newydd.

Cath Jones (Bull Bay, 2021-03-02)

#823

This area should be protected and left as a nature reserve. There are enough places for people already.

Sandra Holmes (Llanrwst, 2021-03-02)

#826

Save Penrhos

Carol Lloyd (Holyhead, 2021-03-02)

#827

Absolutely love visiting this place when I come to Anglesey to visit my mum.
It is stunning and the wildlife fantastic.
We need place like this to go and relax and forget the troubles of the world. Can’t wait to go as doom as this pandemic is under control.

Avril Fletcher (Stockport, 2021-03-02)

#828

I do not agree that this land should be 'developed' in this way or that it will be in the best interests of the natural environment or of the people of Anglesey.

Susan Davies (Holyhead, 2021-03-02)

#834

This is such a special green space and more importantly accessible for those less abled. A caravan park van be sited anywhere! Why select this treasured place?

Kath Adams (Liverpool, 2021-03-02)

#837

Penrhos Nature reserve was a huge part of my childhood growing up. Even now when visiting family in Anglesey we always visit the nature reserve. It would be such a shame to spoil such a beautiful part of the country which is adored by locals and visitors.

Katie Matley (Preston, 2021-03-02)

#840

It's a beautiful place of national ecogical importance. We need to start thinking about ecology instead of financial gain to save this planet. Stop building on beautiful country. I used to live on Anglesey.

Sadie Lewis (Warrington, 2021-03-02)

#841

it should br left the way it is

CELINE BYRNE (Holyhead, 2021-03-02)

#843

We cannot allow beautiful areas that have been enjoyed by local people to be snatched from them for the sake of profit

Gillian Sandham (High Peak, 2021-03-02)

#845

Anglesey is stunning and needs to be preserved that way , otherwise there will be nothing left to enjoy. Commercialism is rampant and gives no thought to nature.

CHRISTINE TAYLOR (HECKMONDWIKE, 2021-03-02)

#846

Vital mature woodland with shoreline habitats.

Anglesey is a beautiful island with a diverse flora and fauna. This must be protected.

Sacrificing this woodland is not the answer.

Anglesey needs tourism. Woodlands like Penrhos provide that tourism.

Any additional planting made to offset the environmental damage will not be nearly as effective as the current woodland in capturing carbon and protecting diversity.

Ciaran Bradshaw (Bushey, 2021-03-02)

#853

This would be against everything that is currently trying to be done to preserve natural wildlife habitat. The worlds eyes are watching to highlight plans like these. Calling the proposed plans Nature Reserve/Park is a wolf in sheeps clothing, be honest and call it huge commercial enterprise to bring in loads of money for someone who doesn't live there, and doesn't give a dam about wildlife.

Frances Kirkland (Harpenden, 2021-03-02)

#856

In this day and age it will be criminal to destroy established woodland and precious animal habitats.

Christine Whitaker (Manchester, 2021-03-02)

#858

I believe transparency in all matters is important in all local government affairs

Oliver Barnsley (Bangor, 2021-03-02)

#859

i m signing because i used to live in north wales and was a regular visitor, every week in fa ct, to this area. please do not destroy our countryside. we need the countryside to ease our mental health especially during this pandemic. please do not destory this land

stephanie ball (redditch, 2021-03-02)

#861

My family and friends are from Holyhead and still live in the area. My father worked for ANGLESEY ALUMINIUM for many years along with many other Holyhead people . My father's best friend still lives on the Penrhos estate and I have always walked the nature reserve with my grandparents , parents and my children and don't want the reserve to be tampered with .

Dyfed Rowlands (Pontypool, 2021-03-02)

#870

We need nature too!

Sarah Newton (Hatfield, 2021-03-02)

#873

I am signing because I live very near penros and it’s so beautiful and popular we walk there all the time as so many other people do. It’s a disgrace to change it

Julie Oldfield (Angelsey, 2021-03-02)

#875

It’s too beautiful...

Tracy Roberts (Manchester, 2021-03-02)

#876

This is another example of Anglesey Council ploughing ahead with another development at the cost of the ecosystem and environment here on Anglesey. More caravan parks are needed snd certainly not in nature reserves.

Dr Chris Howells (Llanfairpwll , 2021-03-02)

#878

I value the area and it's wealth of fauns and flora

Margaret Smith (Rhosneigr, 2021-03-02)

#881

I’m signing because once again Anglesey County Council has shown itself to be corrupt and not serving the interests of either its residents or the country as a whole. As someone brought up in the area, these spaces are vital to be preserved for now and future generations.

Harry Roberts (Chepstow, 2021-03-02)

#883

Ecause I am very much against this project.

Pat Brown (Holyhead, 2021-03-02)

#884

penrhos is important

marc davies-hall (pudsey, Leeds, 2021-03-02)

#891

Change isn't always a good thing!

Annie Wild (Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, 2021-03-02)

#894

I want to protect the nature reserve as so many people love to visit and observe nature at it's best. The animals are protecting the earth and keeping it in balance.

Tracy Lyon (Moreton , 2021-03-02)

#895

Penrhos is very precious to the people of Anglesey. We are experiencing a time where we need these places to find peace and comfort. Destroying the trees and -vegetation habitat of many wild creatures that depend on it for their survival. No thought or consideration has gone into this development. Shame on you.

Brenda Edwardson (anglesey, 2021-03-02)

#896

We need to look after nature not destroy it.

Judith Godin (Menai Bridge , 2021-03-02)

#897

I don’t want this development

Dewi Roberts (Llangefni, 2021-03-02)

#900

All forest should be protected for wildlife from human destruction

Kiziah Yarna (Borth, 2021-03-02)

#902

I have grown up enjoying this beautiful place

Nicola Sutcliffe (Halifax, 2021-03-02)

#904

I'm sure a more suitable site could be found that wouldn't destroy beautiful red squirrel woodland. The last thing we need are jet skis disturbing nesting birds and killing fledglings in the sea.

Vivienne Powroznyk (Amlwch, 2021-03-02)

#908

We love walking around this place, so peaceful and tranquil.

Colin Peet (Southport , 2021-03-02)

#916

To protect the beautiful woodland from being disturbed

Karen Sohawon (Crewe, 2021-03-02)

#917

I love my walks and showing the grandchildren the animals, birds & insects that can be found especially the red squirrel.

Ann Broadfoot (Wirral , 2021-03-02)

#920

I am a lover of North Wales and do not want it desisrated. Anglesey is a beautiful island, to destroy a Nature reserve is totally unforgivable . Please do not ruin it's greenery.

Anne Donaldson (Knutsford, 2021-03-02)

#921

I can't believe a developer can be given permission to build a site which is so destructive. And in such a beautiful part of the country too!

Sandra Zealand (Bristol, 2021-03-02)

#922

We do mot need these developments, they are for greed and personal gain.
We must protect our wildlife and flora to save the planet.

Tracey Weaver (Ivybridge , 2021-03-02)

#925

I really can't believe that this development is actually being considered.
The local people and visitors deserve better.
Why would anyone think this is a good idea when we should all be pulling together to save such places from destruction.

Susan Lehan (Merseyside, 2021-03-02)

#926

Penrhos nature reserve is important to the people of Holyhead and for the wildlife already established there it’s one of the only woodland sites in TNT’s min and to destroy it would be a tragedy, especially in a time where re- wilding is being done and the importance of natural habitat is at the forefront of environmental issues.

Angie Evans (Holyhead , 2021-03-02)

#928

We start to action and save what wildlife habitats and countryside we have left x we must now realise we are in a climate crisis and start to turn things around for the better and respect nature not keep destroying it x

Gill Clapham (Birmingham, 2021-03-02)

#930

Penrhos is a too valuable resource for wildlife and the local population to be built on in anyway whatsoever.

Alec Barber (Tyn-y-Gongl, 2021-03-02)

#933

Loss of natural environment and biodiversity, and our failure over recent decades to reduce our carbon emissions has created a climate and ecological emergency. They are real and happening now. Woodlands and other biodiverse carbon sinks are hugely valuable in the fight against these emergencies and as spaces people can enjoy. Destroying them for profit is deranged thinking. This company should think again about how it could work with the environment and local communities instead of riding rough-shod over them. Time is running out.

Kev Oubridge (Shrewsbury , 2021-03-02)

#934

We need to stop ruining our country and our world - some spaces should be sacred and left alone

Georgina Francis (Weston super Mare, 2021-03-02)

#935

It would be such a shame to the locals especially and losing so much of the forest area is not good for the planet

Alison Brown (Cambridgeshire, 2021-03-02)

#938

It is important for the health of our planet. Nature before profit.

Patricia Totty (Amlwch, 2021-03-02)

To preserve nature and the environment

Jerry Brown (Hereford, 2021-03-02)

#945

This area of natural beauty, and haven for wildlife should be preserved just as it is.,not wrecked by developers looking for financial profit and greed.

Lorna Wickstead (Rhosneigr, 2021-03-02)

#952

I’m signing because it’s a beautiful nature reserve that should be left as it is for the local people

Stella Stevenson (Wrexham , 2021-03-02)

#953

It's a travesty to allow the planing to go ahead at this site, Penrhos nature reserve is a peaceful place for the animals that live there and a peaceful place for the people of holyhead and its visitors, we the people of holyhead implore you to put a stop to this raping of our beautiful green space before it's too late because we will never get it back

Susan Griffiths (Holyhead angelsea North Wales , 2021-03-02)

Fiona Shaw (Shrewsbury, 2021-03-02)

#967

What are you trying to hide?

Robert McCraight (Llandudno , 2021-03-02)

#972

This beautiful nature reserve is enjoyed and appreciated by people from many areas of the UK. There are already enough holiday and tourist facilities on Anglesey - losing this area of natural beauty that is home to so much wildlife would be a travesty - once it has gone it can never be replaced... please don't ont allow it to be destroyed.

Sue B (High Peak, 2021-03-02)

#975

We need to keep this beautiful place as it is for others to enjoy as we have

#980

The nature and wildlife are beautiful, please don’t take it away from them and us

Jens Williams (Anglesey , 2021-03-02)

#982

Penrhos must be saved it is magical and for all people to enjoy, do not take it away from the future generations.

Sandra Jones (Holywell , 2021-03-02)

#983

We cannot afford to lose any more wildlife habitat and biodiversity, especially not to the narrow pursuit of making money for the few. Destruction of habitat equals the increasingly recognised crime of Ecocide, which no self respecting person, company, corporation, or council, should ever be found guilty of. Please protect this area and consider biologically ethical alternatives to the plan in question, with comparable or superior public benefit.

Matt Rhys-Roberts (Wrecsam, 2021-03-02)

#984

I am signing as I believe that penrhos is an outside natural area with trees and wildlife that need protection from building. I walk there with my dog and want to keep it for the next generation .

Fiona Phillips (Gloucester, 2021-03-02)

#993

Marie Harvey (Rhos on Sea, 2021-03-02)

#997

we should be saving and conserving these areas. Removing trees we are killing areas off the wildlife will disappear We will loose the canopy cover. Trees keep our oxygen clean taking away the carbon monoxide. STOP KILLING OUR WORLD.

Janet Clayton (Denbighshire , 2021-03-02)

#999

Secrecy is almost always to hide something someone doesn’t want you to know

Ian Fisher (Marple, 2021-03-02)
