This event should be moved away from animals and vulnerable people.

Jennifer Bowen (Ilford, 2020-10-21)

#610

I think it's about time fireworks were banned ,not just for the animals sake , but we have enough air pollution as it is.

Colin Fry (London, 2020-10-21)

#613

These people are only interested in MONEY . Nothing more!! They have no respect whatsoever for animals ,or indeed the people who look after them .

Steve Hughes (Wrexham North Wales UK., 2020-10-21)

#619

I have seen first hand the damage and harm fireworks do to wildlife, pets, livestock etc and the idea that they would hold this “extravaganza” right near so many animals some of whom are currently pregnant is absolutely abhorrent. They must be either be moved or cancelled altogether.

Nancy Jones (Exeter, 2020-10-21)

#620

Wild animals, domestic animals, autistic people, old people, pet owners, fire brigade workers, ambulance workers, hospital staff. We are all sick to death of fireworks and the noise and pollution they cause. Enough! Consider others please

Liz Carlton (Chelmsford , 2020-10-21)

#624

Fireworks are an unnecessary disturbance

Annette McGlennon (Nailsworth , 2020-10-21)

#627

I am signing because it’s cruel to frighten animals in this unnecessary way.

Yvonne Goddard (Southampton , 2020-10-21)

#629

This event should not be held. Animals are terrified by these loud fireworks. And people find them distressing as well.

David Parker (Harrow, 2020-10-21)

#631

The potential damage, distress and possible injury and death to terrified livestock, some unborn, is unacceptable.

Nicola Gregory (Farnham, 2020-10-21)

#635

It's about time all firework displays were banned and the sale of fireworks too.

Claire Abbott (Chesterfield, 2020-10-21)

#644

I am singing because I have 2 dogs that are so worried when they hear or see fireworks they will not stop shaking and try to hide under anything

Graham Mitchell (Macclesfield, 2020-10-21)

#645

This shouldn’t be allowed. The farm animals will be terrified. What on earth are the organisers thinking?

Claire Masterton (Kirknewton , 2020-10-21)

#646

Fireworks need to organised shows only to save and protect both human and animal accidents/lives.

Angie Macdonald (Jent, 2020-10-21)

#653

I am the mother to 11 cats, who are my world and to see them physically shake due to fireworks makes me upset and angry

Mandy Smith (Warrington , 2020-10-21)

#655

I don't like fireworks I think they can be dangerous in the wrong hands and a lot of animals are distressed by them and they serve no purpose

Yvonne McManus (Glasgow, 2020-10-21)

#658

Acting for these animal who have no voice

Lisa Fitzell (Birmingham, 2020-10-21)

#666

In these times fireworks should be banned...
Guy Fawkes Night has served its purpose and should be put to rest...

John Leon Smith (Lowestoft , 2020-10-21)

#668

No animal should be scared to death

Julie Fleet (Washington , 2020-10-21)

#673

My dog suffers great distress when there are fireworks. I hate the damn things and sympathise with any cause.

Bryan Downie (Edinburgh , 2020-10-21)

#674

People and animals are terrified by the noise of fireworks. Could you perhaps move the proposed events to a more isolated site to avoid the distress these cause.

Christine Hughes (Manchester, 2020-10-21)

#675

Love to allow sentient beings animals to share the same planet with us, safely!

Cristina Economides (Athens, 2020-10-21)

Alan Ware (Birmingham, 2020-10-21)

I've campaigned against firework for a long time.

IAN RUBERY (DERBY, 2020-10-21)

#682

concern for the welfare of animals

Graham Talling (Aldershot, 2020-10-21)

#686

Fireworks have become terrifyingly loud in recent years, are quite unnecessary and cause great distress and possible injury/death to animals.

Ruth Winstone (Bideford, 2020-10-21)

#687

Fireworks can cause too.much distress and harm to animals.

Jacqueline Carlton-Sorrell (Coventry, 2020-10-21)

#689

My animals suffer from by the ongoing impact on fireworks over a very prolonged period

Tracy Root (Harlow , 2020-10-21)

#690

animals should live in peace not terrified

Linda Strawford (Bungay, 2020-10-21)

#691

I don't like fireworks near animals and domestic pets because they scare them so much and they could die of fright as a result.

Pauline Hill (Kettering, 2020-10-21)

#693

It's about time people realised that fireworks - although pretty, are bad for the environment as well as causing unnecessary stress and fear in vulnerable people, pets, farm animals, birds and other wildlife. Surely given how advanced we have become as a species we can find ways to enjoy ourselves without having to damage the environment or harm/frighten other living things.

Sarah Roberts (Waterlooville, 2020-10-21)

#694

I have dogs and I have a horse. Fireworks are a nightmare for animals. They don't understanding why things are exploding around them and they panic and bolt and it's traumatic for them.
Fireworks aren't necessary. They aren't so important that they can't be set off within venues where animals are less likely to be shocked and terrified by them.
Personally I'd ban them all. I don't think soldiers who've fought on the front line particularly like them either.
Please can fireworks displays be limited to one night a year if they have to be allowed at all and please don't allow fireworks to be held where the Weeley Car Boot Site is located. This event should NEVER be held in a rural or semi-rural setting where adjoining farms have animals who will suffer.
Mares can abort. Horses can jump out of paddocks and end up on roads - in particular the A3 which has had this happen before. Sheep are vulnerable to disturbance.
It's a money making exercise - not a livelihood for the event planners. Farming and rural life is a livelihood.

Diane Pengilly (Esher, 2020-10-21)

#695

Animals deserve peace and respect as living beings and torture via a firework display isn't respect!

Charlie Boyce (Livingston, 2020-10-21)

#697

We too have a local fireworks display spanning two nights fortunately cancelled this year. I like bonfire night my dogs don't .

Lynn Alcock (Stoke , 2020-10-21)

#698

I'm signing because animals have no voice and it's obvious to anyone with common sense that this would be a traumatic event for them and possibly life threatening. Please, stop this. Don't put your pleasure before their feelings.

Angelie Boyle (Maidstone, 2020-10-21)

#699

I would not mind fireworks at all if it was not for the bangs. The bangs remind me of my time with the army.

John Howliston (Feltham, 2020-10-21)

#701

Why the hell should wildlife and pets suffer for idiots entertainment - fireworks are not even pretty anymore they are just horrible noisy things - I worked in a care home once and the noise brought the war back to many people there - they had sleepless nights because of it!!

Julie Lamb (South Benfleet, 2020-10-21)

#708

This is a frankly cruel plan.

Maria Hedley (Hereford , 2020-10-21)

#718

keep fireworks away from animals and houses

william chisholm (preston, 2020-10-21)

#720

No animals should suffer for the entertainment of small minded people All animals and old people are terrified of the noise

Sheila Evans (York, 2020-10-21)

#723

This is not acceptable in our countryside which has an abundance of animals. The idea of doing this is madness

Lorraine Dobson (Worthing, 2020-10-21)

#724

Animals are terrified when fireworks go off - my dog shakes uncontrollably and he is so old I hope he survives this year’s ridiculousness of bangs. Farm animals have nowhere to escape to and can injure themselves and each other. Please don’t run the event.

Emma Wolstenholme (Faringdon, 2020-10-21)

#725

It is disgusting to subject defenceless animals to this stupid mindless thuggery and if any of those horses miscarry as a result of it everyone that organised and attended this "fun"will be directly responsible

Heidi Mahon (Huddersfield, 2020-10-21)

#726

Fireworks are great in the appropriate place at the appropriate time. This location is certainly not.

Kay Dolezel (Exeter, 2020-10-21)

#727

I have animals and ever year they get so very afraid of fireworks. I personally hate them as I do any loud unexpected noises and dread this time of year, especially when I find burnt out fireworks lying around my garden. Go to an organised display if you want to see them.

Evelyn Johnston (Lisburn, N.I., 2020-10-21)

#730

I’m worried about the impact on local animals. Fireworks are terrifying for many animals and holding such a display near stables seems totally inappropriate. I’m sure a more suitable site could be located where the distress would be minimised.

Jacob Walsh (London , 2020-10-21)

#732

Having a pet dog I feel very strongly about random people setting them off on the street it is a disgrace that they are being sold usually to underage children who do not know the damage they can do to themselves and the stress for our pets .

Jane Lees (Sk165lb, 2020-10-21)

#734

Fireworks are fine if used at responsible displays taking place in sensible areas. This is not in a sensible area and should therefore be moved.

Neil Southam (Wisbech, 2020-10-21)

#739

I have horse at a livery yard, new houses have been built opposite, the residents will have no regard for the stables and still have fireworks,I also have a dog who doesn't like them either.

The wildlife are disturbed and frightened.

If we have to have fireworks then there should be new regulations only to have them on the 5th November by organised and well managed displays.

Jill Bendall (Southampton, 2020-10-21)

#741

I’m signing this petition because this firework “Extravaganza” is going to cause terror & possibly injury to domestic pets & livestock in the area.

Cheryl Curran (Worthing , 2020-10-21)

#742

Frequent visitor to Weeley. Owner of 3 cats petrified of fireworks and family member of PTSD sufferer

A Newman (Banstead, 2020-10-21)

#743

I’m an animal lover, and dogs especially, hate these fireworks, and they are dangerous.

Anna Henderson (Bristol, 2020-10-21)

#744

its cruel

Steve Bate (dudley, 2020-10-21)

#752

I've signed this petition because fireworks scare all animals to death and it's not right to traumatize them year in, year out ..

Sheila Burgman (Maidstone, 2020-10-21)

#753

Really, near animals!!!

corinne chapman (stamford, 2020-10-21)

#754

Fireworks are just not worth the suffering they cause to innocent animals. Humans, as usual, not putting animals first.

Tanith Rowe (Cardiff, 2020-10-21)

#755

Fireworks are not necessary and cause untold stress and potential injury to nearby farm animals, pets and wildlife. It is just wrong that so much damage can be done by such a frivolous activity.

Sue Carden (Guildford , 2020-10-21)

#759

Animals have no choice in this - but we do & we owe them our compassion & care; with our help they may thrive; without they continue to suffer. It is always down to humans.

Jo Robinson (Hindhead; Surrey, 2020-10-21)

#763

I have a dog who is terrified of fireworks and I think displays and firework sales should be limited to protect animals and humans suffering with PTSD.

Gemma Westbrook (Heathfield, 2020-10-21)

#764

Fireworks are being widely used for all sorts of reasons and many animals are being terrified unnecessarily.

Tina Logan (Birmingham , 2020-10-21)

#767

constant fireworks really takes its toll on domestic and wild animals

Lesley Provan (tunbridge wells, 2020-10-21)

#773

I’m signing because I have 2 dogs & understand 1st hand the distress it causes them. So for animals not so fortunate to be indoors the noise element of fireworks, bangers must be so distressing! It’s not just one or two nights but weeks leading up to Halloween, new year & many more occasions

Joan Corbett (North Yorkshire , 2020-10-21)

#777

I'm signing because of all the good reasons regarding the welfare of animals and pets, not to mention PTSD sufferers, but also because of the extreme likelihood that COVID-19 restrictions will be ignored by the crowd. Enough is enough.

Dennis Carver (WOKINGHAM, 2020-10-21)

#778

As an animal owner I think this needless and frightening spectacle should be stopped. WHY are explosives freely on sale in these troubling times when there are safer and less polluting light shows available that harm NO ONE?.

Duncan Ardley (Marlborough, 2020-10-21)

#781

I love animals and they should not be exposed to things that terrify them
We need to protect them. Animals should only know what LOVE is , never should they live in fear xx

Gillian Meikle (Edinburgh , 2020-10-21)

#784

Firewoeks are terrifying for farm , wild and domesticated animals .
Years ago my horse Jessica had a 'break down' due to fireworks.

Jenny Scotland (Exeter, 2020-10-21)

#786

Fireworks are an absolute nuisance & caused accidents & disrupt others too much of the time now- I loathe them.

G Gallo (Birmingham , 2020-10-21)

#792

Fireworks need to be banned

Valerie Rowlands (Tamworth, 2020-10-21)

#794

Wholly inappropriate, so many animals and people will suffer because of this.

Chris Bennett (Thetford, 2020-10-21)

#797

I have an elderly staff with a bad heart (as do others) and he will be shaking and cowering with the noise. It’s the bangs that go off. Why can’t they get rid of the loud noises
