We need a new surgery not more houses.Stop building homes unless there’s the necessary infrastructure to support the increase population

There are already enough cars on the Shurdington road, any more coming from the estate would just be stupid.Iain Stockton (Gloucester, 2021-02-08)

Urgent action is required to counter rapid biodiversity decline due to habitat loss and emissions. This is yet another example of a quick fix solution, building on green land with no thought for the future. Spend your time refurbishing derelict existing housing instead of letting it go to ruin.Tom Phillips (Gl3 4AN, 2021-02-08)

We live just off Mill Lane near the Shurdington Roundabout. Our local community can't take any more houses without significant investment in the local amenities and travel routes into Cheltenham. Mill Lane queues every morning at 8am, and all the way down the Shurdington Road to get to Cheltenham. We're adding 1500 houses to that single carriage way, even if only 100 people add to the traffic that's horrendous. The local doctor's surgery is a shambles and poorly run and over worked, how is that going to cope? The area needs places for flood water to run away to, they're all being built on. The wildlife has almost all gone from this area. More houses to the Mill Lane end is just a greedy, horrible idea after we've just had the latest thousand houses arrive without help to the roads and commutes.
I'm strongly against it.

I’m signing this petition because I believe we do not need any further housing developments in this area, keeping our beautiful country side Green.. 👍Paul Garrett (Gloucestershire , 2021-02-08)

Being built on greenbeltLocal services being overwhelmed

There is no need for more housing. This was supposed to be a village and now there is no green belt left. The doctors facility cannot cope with more new patientsJanice Griffiths (Gloucester , 2021-02-09)

When is enough, enough? There are already 1000s of houses on that site with no additional road infrastructure - the traffic around Brockworth will grind to a halt and cause increased pollution. The queues into Cheltenham from that point are already horrendous at rush hour, goodness knows what they will be like when even the current homes are completed. We are being treated with little humanity or respect.Deborah Wesley (Gloucester, 2021-02-09)

To much traffic through Brockworth, Doctors surgeries are at breaking point.Wendy Bradley (Gloucester , 2021-02-09)

Recent events have shown that drainage in the area is barely sufficient for the current homes, it seems ridiculous to add to that before that's been tackled.Richard Hodgson (Gloucester, 2021-02-09)

we should have green areas in brockworth as it’s better for the environment. we already have 2 large factories and a bunch of warehouses creating pollution. we don’t need any more houses.beth harris (Gloucester , 2021-02-09)

Enough is enough. Brockworth has contributed enough to the new build figures.Mark Adams (Gloucester , 2021-02-09)

There has been far to much building in Brockworth causing upheaval in every area. Roads sewers transport messy roads all heavy traffic using my quiet road which was not intended for such use. We were a quiet villageOnce.

Overcrowded facilities already without more housing. We need a doctor's and other facilities.Karl Wood (Gloucester, 2021-02-09)

You have destroyed my local area like you have destroyed Bishops Cleeve. You are building houses but what about local roads?
Hospitals?
And unless I have missed something where are all the jobs coming from for all the people.

We do not need more houses on top of what is already being built, current Brockworth residents already struggle with getting a doctors appointment, we need a new surgery before we build yet more houses, Brockworth has lost its green belt and every green space that is destroyed for more bricks and mortar the more wildlife we lose, let’s finish building the developments already started before agreeing to yet more housing, we do not have the services to cope with so many more people living hereVictoria Oliver (GLOUCESTER, 2021-02-10)

There’s loads of new housing in Brockworth and absolutely no extra amenities.kris shine (Gloucester , 2021-02-12)

We have enough houses in brockworth without the amenities to go with it, stop these developers lining their own pockets at the expense of our children’s future ( the doctors surgery that was suppose to be being built by Tesco just one example)Sharon House (GLOUCESTER, 2021-02-13)

Brockworth has already had been over developed the last ten years. It has gone from being a lovely village to almost an urban settlement . There is not much green space left in brockworth now.the new housing behind at George’s was soul destroying without more houses being considered. All the lovely green space that has already been lost , no more housing is needed.Pete Richards (Gloucester , 2021-02-13)

I completely agree with all the above raised concerns. Having spent a childhood in Brockworth going back now and seeing such a lack of green space is heartbreaking. Not to mention the devastation for wildlife, poor draining increasing risk of floods. It’s unnecessary with so many houses already built expanding Brockworth hugely.Lea Fendt (Cheltenham, 2021-02-15)

I moved from Brockworth a year ago after having lived there for 35 years (all my life), my children still attend the local primary school and my family still live there. The constant building of houses but no addition to other services such as GP surgery and schools is putting strain on the already stretched providers, this can only be having a negative impact on the current service users - the locals.Claire Sollars (Gloucester, 2021-02-17)

I'm signing because the volume of development in Brockworth is beyond ridiculous. We have Cooper's Edge still ongoing, Millbrook Grove, Perrybrook and the new development near Tesco. Enough is enough.Helen Turner (Gloucester, 2021-02-17)

I lived in brockworth for 30 years and don’t want to see it spoilt like bishops clever was with all houses builtPaula Winters (Brockworth, 2021-02-17)

Far too many new houses being built on our beautiful countryside. Gloucester & Cheltenham will just become one large city with no green space in between, sad.Neil Richardson (Gloucester, 2021-04-30)
