John Hodgson (Plymouth , 2020-08-25)

I use the NRW dog park regularly for my 2 french bulldogs who have admittedly horrendous recall. This space kept them active and in 1 place. Please replace!

I live with 4 dogs, two which have anxiety aggression and makes the dog walk harder as we can’t let them off for a run.

Annie Jones (Plymouth, 2020-08-25)

I have a dog that I have been training recall in this fenced area and now have nowhere to do this. I live in Plymouth and do not have transport so it is an invaluable space.

Jennifer Groves (Plymouth , 2020-08-25)

#40

Dogs need to be secure and able to run aroynd freely.

Shirley Murray (Plymouth, 2020-08-25)

#43

dog owners of all ages need a place to go without worry. it also keeps dogs away from the streets where people don't always like dogs

diane jones (tavistock, 2020-08-26)

#44

This is currently the only free enclosed dog park in Plymouth where people can safely train and exercise their dogs off lead. We need more free enclosed dog parks - not the loss of them.

Emma Gilbert (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#46

This is a well used and necessary facility for responsible dog owners

Jackie Hilton (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#48

I am a dog owner and so much of Central Park now has dog restrictions

Jenny Mcginnes (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#51

A safe, enclosed field for dogs is great and we would benefit from having this repaired asap

Sue O'Mahoney (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#55

I have a small dog and the enclosure really provides a safer environment for my dog to run and play safely. I am shocked that vandals destroyed it and I hope Plymouth City Council put up a new fence as it is a dog park not a field. It does look silly without the an enclosure.

Darren Oliver (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#56

For the safety of the dogs in the park

Alison Chalmers (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

Justin Hayward (Plymouth , 2020-08-26)

#65

I agree with is petition as there are so few places that are dog friendly and safe. The council are trying hard to make it less!

Claire Paddon (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#69

I have a dog and agree there should be safe places to let them run off lead.

Tiffany Walsh (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

Georgia Christian (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#73

I use it

Carol coath (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#74

This park is essential for training nervous dogs because of the unique inner circle fence.

Robert Perry (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#75

I use this park regularly primarily as it has the inner ring due to my dog being a reactive rescue and it being the only place I can afford to take him to let him off the lead and do training and socialisation responsibily. I also a professional dog Walker and bring dogs here to bond and work on recall.

Ellie Hillier (Plymouth , 2020-08-26)

#76

I personally do not use this area but walking past I see it in constant use by dogs and their owners. I am saddened to see dogs slowly having less and less freedom to run in a once very dog friendly city. Responsible dog owners recognise this as a safe place to exercise their dogs. Why are we removing opportunities for people to be safe and responsible? Let’s put the fence back up, even if it’s moved to to edge of the park, and whilst we are at it pop in a few tunnels and activities for the dogs, a dog poop bin, a community filled poop bag station and a doggy board filled with local dog businesses and pics of cute pups. Dogs and their owners are part of our community, let’s embrace it and take this opportunity to make a really nice space.

Clare Saunders (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#77

This dog park is an invaluable resource for reactive dogs, particularly those coming from a rescue centre.

Jason Morris (Plymouth , 2020-08-26)

#79

I would like to see the fence put back to allow our dogs to be off the lead freely. If not a doggy park area.

Adeline Herbert (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#80

Because I have a dog and I do training there :)

Rassa Robs (PLYMOUTH, 2020-08-26)

#81

I’m signing because my dog loves going to this park and loves going into the pen to have his freedom off the lead as he’s not good at his recall in a open space!

Danielle Bossino (Plymouth , 2020-08-26)

#83

I’m signing this because I have aggressive dogs and this is the only place I can let them off

Caitlyn Powell (Plymouth , 2020-08-26)

Jaime Cummimgs (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

This area is a fantastic place to exercise your dogs safely and it would be a real shame if the fence wasn't replaced.

#92

I won't my dog safe

susan newbury (Plymouth, 2020-08-26)

#94

Great dog park. Walk dogs several times a day

Andrew Ward (Plymouth, 2020-08-27)

#95

This was the only place we could safely let our greyhounds off to run. We can't afford to hire a private field for them to run, so their health and wellbeing, as well as the wellbeing of other dogs, will suffer as a direct consequence.

Kay Scoble (Plymouth, 2020-08-27)

#96

The dog park in nrw is a special place for dogs of the city, it's a unique feature and it should be replaced. Maybe a local company could sponsor a new fence like totem timber maybe?

Claire Brook (Plymouth, 2020-08-27)

#97

I'm a dog owner and take my boy there all the time to help with recall. What am I going to do now, we need this arena back.

Bethany falconer (plymouth , 2020-08-27)

#100

Think we need more place like this in Plymouth. So people we'll not moan about people and there dogs.

Susan Parkhouse (Devon, 2020-08-27)

#101

It seems to me insane not to replace it.

sally carnes (Saltash, 2020-08-27)

#102

I have 5 dogs which 2 are puppies it's good to let them all off lead knowing they can't get out also easier to spot were they poo so can pick up straight away

sharon TURNER (PLYMOUTH, 2020-08-27)

#107

It’s not right. Plymouth Council are coming over as very anti dog!

Susan Horswell (Plymouth, 2020-08-27)

#111

people are quick to complain about dogs they have a right to safe space

mavis cremin (plymouth, 2020-08-27)

#112

I’m singing this because my Jack Russel who is 13years old loves that space! It’s the only area we had to take him so that he could have a nice run without us having to worry about him running off as he’s death and cannot hear us.

Courtney Mcconnell (Plymouth , 2020-08-27)

#113

I like to use this dog park and the inner fence provides safety for my anxious dog

We need secure places to walk our dogs .

Rosemary Marshall (Plymouth, 2020-08-28)

Sue Costello (Westbury, 2020-08-28)

#123

There aren’t enough of these in the first place. Please keep this ppen

Pat Brookes (Stourbridge , 2020-08-28)

#125

I love taking my dog to this park as she gets to run around with other dogs without annoying anyone who would be sitting on the grass in public park areas

Joe Davies (Plymouth, 2020-08-29)

#126

This is a lovely bit for dogs to play, interact and also for reactive dogs this was a safe fence to have up.

Hayley May (Plymouth , 2020-08-30)

#127

It's the only free dog park , and where you can let a dog off lead in the centre without worrying about other dogs. Some dogs can't mix with others so it is a safe space for them.

Susan Gregson-Bland (Plymouth , 2020-08-30)

#129

Have driven to this park.many times with my dog and used the round enclosed area to allow him some off lead time. He is quite a fearful dog and can bark when approached by other dogs so this was a lovely safe space for him to enjoy without the anxiety of other dogs running up to him.

Sarah Williams (Plymouth, 2020-08-31)

#130

its not fair on the dogs its bad enough there is much around for them.

Jasmine-lee hill (Plymouth, 2020-09-02)

#131

The inner dog walking area makes the dog walking area safe for owners and MUCH easier for owners to clean up after their dogs.

Matthew Pontin (Plymouth, 2020-09-05)

#132

As a responsible dog owner I walk both my dogs everywhere on their leads and when I choose to let them off I find that the local dog friendly park i use has been vandalised. Something needs done about this.

Stevie Martin (Plymouth, 2020-09-05)

#133

This is not a new situation, this fence has been degrading over time as all things do. I am shocked to discover that no budget was set aside for its replacement. Why, was this fence thought of as a one time deal? This resourse of a secure dog exercising area is well used and much appreciated by locals and non locals. As a dog walker and groundsman I watched the state of the fence markedly deteriorate over the last two years. It was a wooden posted fence and they will rot out over time. I was aware that 15 of the rails and 12 posts were dangerously close to failure. The failure of the fence was predetermined by its wooden construction, to blame vandalism is like blaming babies for crying. You should replace it, this time with either a budgeted plane for another replacement,if it is of wooden construction, or build it differently!

Dean Bowles (Plymouth, 2020-09-06)

#134

I am a neighbour of the dog field and, for the past 20+ years have observed the value and importance of having a central enclosure for dogs to be trained and separated from others for various reasons. As far as I know this is the only such public service in Plymouth and is very important to dog owners and the general public for safety. The demolition of the the fence has led to more dogs in the local parks designed for children’s play, and the two do not mix. The Council’s demolition has placed children, dog walkers and dogs at more risk. It must be replaced urgently.

Tony Staunton (Plymouth, 2020-09-06)

#136

People need safe places to exercise their dogs.

Romaine King (Plymouth, 2020-09-07)

#138

I'm signing because I like to actually let me dog off the lead, instead of having to worry about people opening the gate and putting her back on the lead

Amber Lawrence (Plymouth, 2020-09-07)

#139

It is important to have a safe place to let dogs get the exercise they need especially when the number of places dogs can be let off the lead is being reduced.

Samantha Evans (Plymouth, 2020-09-07)

#141

Some things need to be publicised.

Christine Parker (Plymouth , 2020-09-08)

#146

I use this dog park as I’m a boarder for guide dogs in training and they like to free run in the middle which was fenced

Donna Wilkins (Plymouth , 2020-09-10)

#148

I have 4 greyhounds and this is the only place I can find in Plymouth that is safe to let them off the lead to have a good run. This park is so vital to many of us - both old and young. It is a vital service to dog owners and as a Council Tax payer I think it is right and proper that the inner fencing is replaced as soon as possible.

Andrea Bateman (Plymouth, 2020-09-10)

#149

I have a dog if my own and have always used the dog park .
With some dogs being not dog friendly I would always let mine off on the outside to keep her away from others but now I keep her on her lead and she can’t have a run around .

Kirsty Nicholls (Plymouth , 2020-09-11)

#150

Jestem za przywróceniem ogrodzenia

Monika Biniek (Plymouth, 2020-09-11)

#152

The fence is very necessary for training dogs, for dogs that have issues with other dogs, for dogs that maybe recovering from surgery, injury or illness and many other reasons. This is an extremely well use dog park which worked so well with the inner enclosed area. The benefits to the community must surely out way any costs for replacing the fence.

Jane Holdsworth (Plymouth, 2020-09-11)

#153

It is good to let the dogs roam on there own .

Sandra Truswell (Plymouth , 2020-09-11)

#154

We use the dog park 2/day. The fenced off area is very important. It helps to separate dog that might not be friendly with others or rescue dog that need space

Ben Bowering (PLYMOUTH, 2020-09-11)

Ben Veater (Plymouth, 2020-09-15)

#159

I visit plymouth regularly and always take my dog to the park
The fenced off section is essential to ensure dog mess is restricted and easily cleaned up. It's the one place I cant relax and feel safe whilst my dog is getting exercise

Beryl Grosvenor (London, 2020-09-15)

#160

It’s a safe place for dogs to run separately from children and vulnerable adults
