The closest skatepark I have is Preston and it’s Scooter kids galore, parents that don’t care how their child roams about and to top it off Prissick seems to have just shut shop and rkades also gone #rip2020

My little boy love to skate he has autism and other disabilities he feels the same as the other kids when he is on a scooter and he loves the feeling.

There is no skatepark local to Redcar saltburn or guisbrough since rkade closed. With skateboarding being in the Olympics in 2021 there will be an added interest in the sport and a safe local place is needed.

I'm signing because I think Its vital for children to have somewhere safe to go, a hobby & to mix with individuals with the same interests. Skateboarding is so good for mental health, it gives freedom, exercise & fresh air. Something like this should be highly encouraged & supported.

We need more physical activities for the young (and old(er)) to keep their bodies active which we know will keep their mental health in good standing. Having this would be amazing for so many people, hopefully including me (never done it, but would love to try)

I have lived in the area and started skating at 11. After struggling with mental health I found a community and got back into skateboarding and it has helped me in many ways. The are doesn't have a park close by and find myself having to travel for an hour to the nearest facility. A park is needed and would be used by many
