I care that the community and young people inc young adults, has a protected & secure environment, to gather together for enhancing community cohesion. Via events such as amateur boxing, with their peers ,family members, coaches and Teachers etc..

Domenico Bergonzi (EPPING ESSEX., 2020-03-12)

#618

Keith Bradford (Brentwood, 2020-03-12)

#630

I’m signing because I have been coming down since it reopened and seen some great cover bands and Expose. There are no mire music venues in Dagenham and especially as iconic as the roundhouse

Julie Stevens (Dagenham , 2020-03-12)

#631

Why close down another local music venue? We have lost so many over the last few years, and the Roundhouse is one of the most historic venues in the area. This cannot be allowed to happen

Dave Moore (Essex, 2020-03-12)

#632

Too many historic buildings and live music venues are being destroyed! There is already a dire shortage of live venues, don’t add to it!! 😡😡

Jane Palmer (Grays, 2020-03-12)

#634

Many bands have played this venue and have gone on to greater things.
Small music venues gives bands experience and are vital to the progression of live music.
Local live music venues brings communities together and brings business to the area too.
These places are where memories are made and it would be a terrible shame to lose that.

Kelly Davis (Rayleigh, 2020-03-12)

#635

I go to many of the events held at this pub and my son has all of his boxing tournaments and award ceremonies here

Susan Matthews (Essex, 2020-03-12)

#636

I’m signing because London is loosing live music venues all of the time. How can such an international city maintain its culture when venues such as the roundhouse are closing??

John Herring (Chelmsford , 2020-03-12)

#639

I’ve been going to this pub for years to see live bands.. it’s always so busy. I don’t understand why it’ll be knocked down

Crystal-Clear Waters (London, 2020-03-12)

#643

This is one of the few remaining pubs from all the years I’ve lived in Dagenham.

Tam James (Dagenham , 2020-03-12)

#647

The historical significance of this pub and it's the only place only to me and my family to use.

Amanda Davis (Dagenham, 2020-03-12)

#653

This pub & venue has had some of the biggest bands kick off the careers from it would be a travesty to see it have its licence taken away and closed so many live venues have gone it would be just wrong to close this one that has so much history and is such a focal point of the area.

Duncan Simons (DAGENHAM, 2020-03-12)

#654

Robert Meader (Waltham Abbey , 2020-03-12)

#672

It's a historic venue, many iconic bands have appeared throughout the years, we are losing too many pubs clubs and music venues just give way for flats, let's put an end before the bands can't play!

John Barton (Romford, 2020-03-12)

#675

This has been an iconic music venue since 1969. Its popular and should not be lost.

Do you really need to lose it now just to have a few flats?

When a thing is gone, it's gone for good.

David Hillier (Chelmsford, 2020-03-12)

#676

The demise of the music venues is crazy. Places like the roundhouse are great for new bands to get themselves out there.

#687

I have lived in the borough for 40 years, this pub holds so many memories for me. It holds some great events which is perfect as It’s local to me (walking distance) so not a big struggle to get home in the evening.
There is nowhere else to go without travelling miles to hear great music.
It’s a place where locals can come together and have a great time, which is pretty rare these days unless it’s at one of them many worship buildings that have seem to have taken over within the borough.

Denise O'Connor (Dagenham, Essex, 2020-03-12)

#689

I have many happy memories of one of the few good live music venues in the local area when a young adult. I still visit when in the area

Gill Patten (Norwich , 2020-03-12)

#691

This amazing pub is part of Dagenham people's heritage. To many of Dagenham's pubs land marks have disappeared for sake of a supermarket or flats like The Robin Hood The Fiddlers, The Church Elm, It's time Dagenham people born and bred was put first 💪

Pat Elflain (DAGENHAM, 2020-03-12)

#694

It’s my local music venue and a very famous one at that. I’ve seen many many big named bands and artists at this venue, long may it remain so.

Gerald Millard (Dagenham, 2020-03-12)

This venue is a national treasure that must remain open for live music ... it’s of historic importance

Michael Godman (Essex, 2020-03-12)

Far too many of these local venues are being lost in the rush to build yet more featureless constructions.

Bill Handley (Romford, 2020-03-12)

#700

Chris Penny (Dagenham, 2020-03-12)

#709

Iconic venue great to see band’s playing down there

Paul Baker (Romford , 2020-03-12)

#710

The roundhouse is a busy venue, still pulling in great artists. With a great history. There are too many social places shutting down, then becoming a Tesco's or something. This is one of the greatest, well known public venues. Where friends gather to watch great acts. As well as socialise. It should be preserved not pulled down because someone with money says so.
The councils are supposed to be building affordable housing, not taking it away from people.

Karen Rooke (Rainham , 2020-03-12)

#711

Great local pub needs to stay as a pub.

Paul Evans (London, 2020-03-12)

Peter Sneesby (Dagenham Essex, 2020-03-12)

The function suite is a vital venue for local amateur boxing clubs - with friendly staff and a great family atmosphere. Without available venues like this - there will be nowhere for our future OLYMPIANS to compete.

I have a family history attached to this public house. My Grandfather and father used to live in the Banjo in Lodge Avenue which backed on to the pub and they both used to do building work in there. Besides that it has a history all of its own that needs to be preserved
