We have been going to York Theatre Royal regularly for over 25 years, and we live 50 miles away, We have been to the last night of the panto for at least the last 10 years, and it is a highlight of the year for us and a friend. Please don't wreck a perfectly good thing just for the sake of change. Please reconsider.

I took my daughter to Berwick’s first, and my daughter and grandchildren, to his last Pantomime. Despite living elsewhere now, we’ve visited and laughed at many more through the years. Would be a very sad day if the laughter and tomfoolery stopped.

I think it's disgusting that after giving half their life's and after 40years our most favourite cast of people that feel more like family are just thrown aside like an unwanted toy. For years they have never once failed to fill seats or fully entertain their audience. I've been to pantomimes with top names and I can safely say the atmosphere is NOWHERE near the same.you want people to come to the theatre royal then Keep our most precious treasure of all our brilliant and wonderful pantomime cast and show

I can’t imagine our Christmas without this specific panto family. Life is grey often enough and without this beautiful colourful annual rubbish at the greyest time of the year we will all be greyer inside. Please don’t do this !!! We don’t want anything “updated” or “more contemporary” or whatever. This is perfect as it is and we love this specific family of actors. We don’t want anyone else!!!
