It’s a great cafe for families

Nick Chapman (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#403

This is a fantastic service for families

Simone Stevens (Nottingham, 2019-08-09)

#404

I'm in full support of Sonya Aris and her amazing team that work so hard to make Doodle Caboodle a success. "I don't believe a change of use is right or fair" The entire area has been made so much more welcoming to customers not just to Doodle Caboodle but to all companies within the complex. So this can not be just put on there shoulders.

Annabel Elford (Pitstone , 2019-08-09)

#405

This cafe is a great local facility and very much needed in Tring to support it and the surrounding villages

Eva-Maria Withey (Leighton Buzzard , 2019-08-09)

#406

We use this every Wednesday!!!! My daughter loves it there

Lauren Parker-Lynn (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#407

I’m signing because I don’t want Doodle Caboodle to close. Children love it and it’s a good support for families

Gayle Everson (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#408

This is a great local business that provides a fantastic place for mums and kids to go that is clean and caters for the children. Nowhere exists locally like it and it brings people outside of Tring to it.

Sonia Lee (Leighton Buzzard, 2019-08-09)

#410

My family and I love this little cafe and play space and we would be very sad to see it go. It is a perfect size, had good facilities, we have never found it too busy or too quiet and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We love it so much we are holding our daughter’s first birthday there this weekend. We need to keep smaller, more intimate places like Doodle Caboodle as an alternative to the huge, busy, overrun soft plays in the area with awkward and crowded parking.

Lindsey Youell (Berkhamsted, 2019-08-09)

#411

We love the cafe and it will be sorely missed if it were to close.

Poppy Crippen (Chesham, 2019-08-09)

#412

Doodle Caboodle is a great facility. We have a two year old child and it’s a super place for parents to meet up. I never drive there I walk. I think the parking issues existed before doodle caboodle and would exist without it. I think it would be grossly unfair not to allow this small business to continue.

Paddy Henry (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#413

This is a great place to take my little ones for a play and lunch

Vanessa Greenwood (Princes Risborough , 2019-08-09)

#414

Great cafe!!!

Catherine Santamaria (Little Kingshill , 2019-08-09)

#415

I’m signing this petition because I believe in the importance of the cafe. Having relied on its services on a number of occasions with my young children, I know of it’s importance for parents and carers to have a space like this to go to.

Jacki Hitchin (Tring , 2019-08-09)

#417

Small business should be given the opportunities to flourish

This cafe provides more than a traditional cafe, it's clearly a place for families to come together which leads to a happier and healthier life

Rajni Kaur (Birmingham, 2019-08-09)

#418

The cafe runs perfectly well with the parking available and if it’s busy there are car parks in Tring and it is a short (but well worth it) walk to the cafe.

This cafe provides an excellent and much needed meeting place for parents and children and is a great asset to the community.

The cafe can not be blamed for the reckless parking an I wonder if the many flats local to the cafe have been considered as responsible for this instead of targeting is lovely family run small business(?)

Sophie Ratcliffe (Aylesbury, 2019-08-09)

#419

I have used the cafe and there are limited resources around for children in Tring and which are also small family businesses.

Vanessa Harrison (Berkhamsted , 2019-08-09)

#420

Great local facility.

Philip Benoist (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#422

This is a community cafe that serves the local community in a small town that encourages local businesses and has done ever since I have known it. I was previously a member of the local community and Court Theatre and would argue that the cafe (and other businesses in Tring) exist primarily to serve the local community, and as such are within walking distance and should not be requiring additional parking facilities. In addition, is not a local business, serving the local community, where the need for car/s is unnecessary, proving to be an ethical and environmentally sustainable business, reducing CO2 and supporting the already entrepreneurial nature of Tring? The town has historically welcomed and nurtured small local business ideas and owners and should be continuing to do so. This business requires support from all parties involved in its future success: new and existing customers, community representatives and council democrats.

Nathalie Cooper (Cambridge , 2019-08-09)

#423

My little boy loves doodle caboodle and we really enjoy going there - especially on rainy days! We, as is the case for most Tring residents, don't use any parking there but walk!

Anna Washington (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#424

This is a beautiful local run cafe, where I have spent many afternoons watching my toodler play. My son also attends regularly with his childminder and friends. We should be supporting local business!!

Carla Cadle (Edlesborough, 2019-08-09)

#425

We have always been able to park on site and the are many other places in town where you could blame parking issues on a local business - but you don't try and close then down.

Simon Oxley (BERKHAMSTED, 2019-08-09)

#426

I've taken my granddaughter to doodle caboodle many times and have either parked on site or considerately elsewhere in the area. If you have traffic problems on Brook Street then police those and don't just pick on one business whose customers may or may not contribute to the problem.

Ellie Oxley (BERKHAMSTED, 2019-08-09)

#427

Small business need more support from local council

Jamie Smith (Tring, 2019-08-09)

Doodle Caboodle is a vital resource for Tring and we don’t want to lose it!

Emma Burley (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#432

It’s a lovely cafe and I don’t believe the parking issues talked about are caused by them.

Alice Walton (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#433

This will be a great loss to the community, heard such positive feedback about this facility. I was looking forward to meeting up with others in the future, as an expecting mum finding what is on offer in the area

Elaine Ball (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#434

The doodle caboodle saved my sanity when I had my second child!

Sophie Boden (Berkhamsted , 2019-08-09)

This is wonderful little cafe, and gives great benefit to so many young families.

Kate Middleton (Pitstone, 2019-08-09)

#437

My young children love playing here. since the closure of Make Believe in berkhamsted, this cafe is really unique and a great resource for pre -schoolers.

Louise Winmill (Berkhamsted, 2019-08-09)

Only place for toddlers in Tring.

Elizabeth Hill (Berkhamsted , 2019-08-09)

#439

It’s a great resource for mums, children and families!

Sue Adams (Aylesbury, 2019-08-09)

#441

Locals need this play cafe. The parking issues stated are not due to cafe customer use.

Joanne Arrighi (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#443

Just what families need

Liz Stevens (Nottingham, 2019-08-09)

#445

We must support family businesses. This is a place that parents, grandparents and children love to go.

Jennie Marx (Salisbury , 2019-08-09)

#446

It has nothing to do with parking, how come it has taken two years to find out this so called parking problem.there is more to this.than bloody parking leave the poor woman a lone , and spend more time fixing pot holes in the roads

gary Campbell (tring, 2019-08-09)

#447

Doodle Caboodle is a much needed place to meet for mums and dads and provides a great support to the community. There is nothing else like it in the area

Lucinda Westcotr (Pitstone , 2019-08-09)

I loved going there with my grandchildren whenever I have come to Tring to visit - it's a wonderful spot!

Margy Murray (Verona, 2019-08-09)

#450

I am signing this petition because this cafe is literally one of a kind in Tring and surrounding villages and we need it here to stay!!

Julia Vinokurova (Pitstone, 2019-08-09)

#451

This is a great little cafe for the area, nothing else like it! Would be a shame to see it go!! ☹️

Vicki Page (London, 2019-08-09)

#454

I use this softplay regularly with my 19 month old and I would be devastated to see it go. I have been many times where there has been a lot of cars parked on the road mentioned and yet the softplay cafe has only one person in it. Similarly I regularly park in the visitors spots and there are people going to all the other retail outlets in the section.

S-j Grosse (Aylesbury , 2019-08-09)

#455

Doodle caboodle was an important resource for me on maternity leave. There are limited places to take very young children locally and this provided us with a much needed opportunity to get out of the house!!! I was able to park in the council car park and walk the short distance to the cafe.

Bryony Ballantyne (Wendover , 2019-08-09)

#457

Doodle Caboodle is a wonderful place to take my young family. There is nothing else like it in Tring - and has been a saving grace for my sanity on many occasions! The team are friendly and caring, and my daughter absolutely loves it there. Please please please keep it open!

Rachel Toorawa Cole (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#458

I have relatives that live in Tring and use this facility as a place to meet up with friends and their little ones.

Liz Woolerton (Market Bosworth, 2019-08-09)

#460

We need to support local businesses, also there is adequate parking if people are prepared to take a short walk.... Maybe the council could do a pay and display in the local car park where the customer has a refund by a local business..?

Lisa Alton (Tring , 2019-08-09)

#461

I’m signing because I use this cafe, it’s in a lovely area and very needed in the local area. I also support small local businesses. Especially those founded by a mothers who see an opportunity and bring them to life. Well done to her. Please don't shut her down.

Joanna Greaves (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#462

It is much loved by the community, would be very disappointing for local families to miss out. Many of us walk so don't add to the parking issue, and regular and local customers know not to put added pressure onto brook street.

Joey Adcock (Tring, 2019-08-09)

#464

I want this cafe to stay open 😊😊

Susan Ellerby (Amersham , 2019-08-09)

Monica Toorawa (Tring, 2019-08-09)

If this cafe were to close it would be a huge loss to the community. I bring my grandchildren from Berkhamsted regularly to the cafe and we all love it. The team have worked so hard to make this business a success.

Jenny Robinson (Leighton Buzzard , 2019-08-09)

#479

#482

It’s a great cafe and much needed for the area, would be sad to see it go!

Solveig Rosenwink (Aylesbury , 2019-08-10)

#483

I think the cafe should stay open to give young families a place to go which is lacking in Tring

Victoria Johnson (Aylesbury, 2019-08-10)

#484

Much needed facility for local families . Working in pharmacy I realise the importance of a place that activily promotes grandparents family to meet and for mums to have somewhere to meat. The cafes and eating venues on the high street do not offer this . It's devastating to create a thriving business and 2 years down the line be threatened with closure

Karen Ellis (Cheddiington, 2019-08-10)

#485

It is a great addition to the town

Anna O'Neill (Tring, 2019-08-10)

#487

I’m signing because these are real people creating real jobs and a community spirit for the local people. The government and local councils should support local business not crush it. Too many chains with high flying executives who have no knowledge of the communities that they are in taking away from the personalised warmth that a family business provides the locality. Invest in local people, support small businesses Dacorum council! Demonstrate this by doing what you can to assist them not bringing them down.

Yasmin Cunningham (Aylesbury , 2019-08-10)

#488

My son loves the doodle caboodle cafe. He has autism and I get really anxious taking him to soft play/cafes as his autism can make him difficult to handle sometimes but here, he is made to feel welcome and I feel relaxed. It’s a judgement free area where I can have some time to chat to friends whilst my son can be himself and have fun. I don’t think there is anywhere else quite like this in the area.

Emma Sommerford (Aylesbury , 2019-08-10)

#489

Wonderful, safe cafe and play area for younger families in our locally. Excellent to help parents to meet new people and help with mental wellbeing for adults and children.

Louise Weatherill (Tring, 2019-08-10)

#490

Tring is a beautiful place and what makes it that are the people and small businesses. Love having a wander around.

Lea Metcalfe (Slough, 2019-08-10)

#491

This cafe is a much needed addition to the community and should be fully supported by tring council.

Amy Billington (Tring, 2019-08-10)

#492

A wonderful business creating a hub for local families

Elizabeth Marks (Pitstone, 2019-08-10)

#494

1. Absolutely no evidence that parking has increased on Brook Street due to customers specifically using the cafe.
2. The cafe provides a much needed focus in the community for people to gather.

Ally Casby (Tring, 2019-08-10)

#495

I want to keep Doodle Caboodle Cafe

Katy Murray (Tring, 2019-08-10)

This is a lovely cafe for children, parents and grandparents to enjoy. It would be a huge loss to the local community if this was forced to close

Liz Rance (Cheddington, 2019-08-11)

#504

The cafe is a great facility that should be fully supported by Tring Town Council

Ann Broadbent (Pitstone , 2019-08-11)

#507

I want to support a local family business that provides a great service to the community.

Rachel McGuire (Pitstone, 2019-08-11)

#508

We should be encouraging local amenities such as this

Sue Tovey (Aylesbury , 2019-08-11)

#509

Our area lacks facilities for young parents to take their children where the kids are well catered for and the parents can have 5 minutes to themselves, it’s a great facility born out of hard work and dedication.

Nicola Beatty (PITSTONE , 2019-08-11)

#510

I want doodle caboodle to be able to continue trading

Emma Mahoney (Leighton Buzzard, 2019-08-11)

Tim Chapman (Ivinghoe, 2019-08-12)

#514

This is an invaluable place to the community.

Nicola Turnbull (Pitstone, 2019-08-12)

#515

This is a Much needed establishment. Families rely on limited places like this for support and friendship. Whilst raising young families. There isn’t anywhere else in Tring that offers this facility and accommodates the children.

Chernade Gayle (Leighton-Linslade , 2019-08-12)

#518

Local resident with child

Rob Sparrow (Tring, 2019-08-12)

#519

Love this local cafe

Chantelle Lancashire (Tring , 2019-08-12)

#521

This is a lovely place, and exactly the sort of local business the council should be encouraging. Parking in Tring is and will continue to be horrific, the impact of the cafe can’t be more than a drop in the ocean and there’s no way it’s made anyone less safe. It would be disgusting if a bit of petty bureaucracy meant this great place was lost to the community.

Liz Barter (Wendover, 2019-08-12)

#522

It's a great cafe and soft play !

Caroline Cox (Buckinghamshire, 2019-08-12)

Charlotte Thorn (Chalfont St Giles, 2019-08-12)

#528

A thriving, local business like this needs saving. Good luck Sonya and the team

Susannah Chapman (Ivinghoe , 2019-08-13)

#529

I’m signing this petition because this cafe is a huge asset to the community and provides a vital place for people with young children to visit. I have visited on numerous occasions and never had any problem with parking or found it difficult to park elsewhere and walk.

Jackie Reynolds (Ivinghoe, 2019-08-14)

#530

All small businesses need help. Better an independent with a community focus than yet another franchise chain.

anne Tinsley (Ferndown, 2019-08-14)

#531

This is such a lovely place to bring my little boy. It’s friendly and relaxed and he loves playing in the soft play. It’s such a great place for mums to meet which is gives much needed support when you are bringing up little ones. This lovely cafe should stay open.

Hannah Cox (Hemel Hempstead , 2019-08-14)

#532

I believe this is a great place for local mums and dads to meet with friends and socialise while allowing young children to interact and play.

Lauren Worth (Tring , 2019-08-14)

#533

I’m signing because it’s a great community cafe.

Victoria Wright (Berkhamsted , 2019-08-15)

#534

Very much needed.

Linda Roberts (PORTSMOUTH, 2019-08-15)

#540

Please save Doodle Caboodle cafe it is a great place to local parents to meet

Emma Reader (Leighton buzzard, 2019-08-16)

#541

Just what local families need. A safe and clean place for our children to be children. For us mums to be mums , dad's to be dad's - to be around others when we might need it most. A beautiful place bringing the community together. Healthy food at reasonable prices. We cannot loose this facility

Danielle Ackerman (Tring, 2019-08-16)

#543

It's a lovely family run cafe. Kids and adults love it.

Alexandra Jobson (Aylesbury , 2019-08-17)

#544

Doodle caboodle has become an inter trap part of the community for parents of young children. With the closure of the children’s centre it is more important than ever that there are places for parents and young children to meet and play in a safe all weather environment. I do not believe that the cafe has exacerbated parking issues on brook street. There is adequate parking on site and many patrons walk. It also seems unfair to claim the cafe has increased parking issues when other businesses such as the mot centre and gym are allowed to operate freely.

Simon Gilbert (Tring, 2019-08-20)

#545

I think Doodle Caboodle has been great for the town. It is different to anywhere else and fab for meeting up with young children.

Alexis Hamilton (Berkhamsted, 2019-08-20)

#546

This is an asset to the community and an independent family run business, that also serves surrounding villages. It provides great support to local families in the area who have young children and helps the transistion of becoming a new parent to meet other people in the local area.

Emma Parkins (Stewkley , 2019-08-20)

#547

I am signing this petition as I strongly support family run businesses and it would be tragic for the local community to lose such a lovely and safe environment for children and their families.

Lianne Bates (Leighton buzzard, 2019-08-20)

#548

Tring families need somewhere like this cafe to go and meet other families, for children to meet, learn social skills and parents to actually not feel alone. The parking situation is not down to The Doddle Caboodle Cafe, it’s an unfortunate effect of how little parking there is in a small town, and the other business owners are just to blame - but what’s the betting that they don’t get met with closure because of the same situation? If this has been ongoing for 2 years, why is there suddenly an issue now? Sounds like sore grapes from someone who’s jealous maybe, or just likes to stir up trouble. With business on the High Street (and elsewhere) struggling to survive, leave The Doodle Caboodles cafe alone to survive and become a complete success.

Jacqueline Veazey (Tring, 2019-08-20)

#549

The cafe is a great place for children to have fun and provide mums some sanity!

Jenny Howell (Pitstone , 2019-08-20)

#551

I’m signing because I believe it is an excellent facility for local people ( we need to support such ventures not look for negatives to prevent them operating ) and the majority of visitors walk to the cafe or if they do drive they can park away from the immediate area where congestion is a problem

Petra Renshaw (Marsworth , 2019-08-20)

#552

I'm signing because the cafe is a vital meeting point for parents of young children

Carla Miller (Tring, 2019-08-20)

#553

I’m signing this because it’s a good little cafe to have my children enjoyed this when they went there

Catherine Burden (Tring , 2019-08-20)

#554

I have a young baby and see the value of play and meeting spaces in the local area for parents and children.

Sara Vaughey (Tring , 2019-08-20)

#556

Because this business is needed and has been running with no issues for 2 years.

Rachelle Emberton (Buckinghamshire, 2019-08-20)

#557

Tring needs more local shops for local people

Daniel Spencer (St Neots, 2019-08-20)

#558

Tring councillors tried to stop planning for Tring Yoga Studio on the same grounds but this proved to be wrong and I believe that The Doodle cafe is in the same boat. We should be supporting small local businesses not trying to put obstacles in their way.

Pauline Gibbons (TRING, 2019-08-21)

#559

It is an amazing cafe, easy to walk to and a wonderful place for families. We live nearby and would miss it greatly. Unbelievable to even think of closing down!

Jasmine Wright (Tring, 2019-08-21)

#561

It's a lovely place to take my 2 children. Why lose such a fun and safe place that keep many a young children happy while their accompanying adult can have a HOT drink (not something most parents with 2 under 2 can manage on a daily basis!!)

Abbi Carrey (Leighton Buzzard , 2019-08-21)

#563

My family have been going to doodle caboodle regularly for the last 18 months. My childrens grandparents also find it a safe haven to take the kids too. There is nothing else similar on offer in Tring and it is an essential place with kids. It would be such a shame to lose it.

Caroline Stretton (Pitstone , 2019-08-22)

#564

The cafe is a great place to visit when we come to Tring to visit family.

Alice Sansom (Milton Keynes , 2019-08-22)

#565

It’s our local play cafe and has been a godsend since I have had a baby!
Mums need places to go with there Children that safe and inviting. this place is amazing!

Gemma Butterfield (Dunstable , 2019-08-22)

#569

Deb Hall (Wendover, 2019-08-22)

#571

My children love it here and so do I!

Claire Jones (Berkhamsted, 2019-08-22)

#572

This is a very useful community asset, and the staff are always friendly.

Jeff stokes (Ivinghoe , 2019-08-22)

#573

Sonya has poured her heart into the cafe and built up an area for families to relax whilst children play. Doodle caboodle is a welcoming, cosy, family business. For many years the community have longed for this sanctuary and to take it away will be a loss to Tring and surrounding villages.

Charlotte Lewis (Pitstone , 2019-08-22)

#574

This cafe has been a life saver for me as a new mum. It’s the perfect place to take your baby or toddler whilst catching up with fellow mums. As a new mum you can feel incredibly isolated and this place welcomes you with open arms. You leave feeling much happier, getting out of the house knowing your baby or toddler has had fun and that you’ve had some adult conversation. It would be a travesty for this important community venue to close.

Martina Vince (Dunstable , 2019-08-22)

#575

We go here all the time with my little ones, it’s a great place

Sarah Neasham (Dunstable , 2019-08-22)

#576

I have used this cafe many times. It provides a safe fun space for kids as well as providing food and drink suitable for little ones.
There are not enough facilities in the area like this and it would be damaging for local parents if this no longer existed

I'm signing in support for a local business that provides a valuable alternative to the busy high street coffee shops. Parents need options to be able to take their children along with them and let kids be kids instead of mini-grown ups.

If the parking is believed to be a problem, then the council should provide greater provision for parking in the area.

I love this cafe. It’s great for parents with little children. A place to meet up, let kids play and relax with a coffee

The Doodle Caboodle Cafe & Play in Tring is a much needed service and asset to the local community.

I get to catch up with friends whilst I know my child can play safely and happily. It is the perfect space. Not too big and is exciting for children to play safely and happily.

Its a family run business, creating jobs for local people and a cafe for families with children to go to

This cafe is a lifeline for some mums who need a break, some company and somewhere to take there kids. These cafes are few and far between but they can really make a difference to someone's day.

There are so few facilities like this in the area and the ones that exist are a resptie for tired parents who need a safe place for their children to play so they can get a bit of moral support from others in the same situation. A few individuals parking I considerately should not close a business and take this away from the community. Why not issue tickets to those who park illegally and generate revenue for the council instead?!

This is a great place to meet and let the children play in a safe environment. The food is great and my daughter recently had her 2nd birthday party there and it was fantastic.

I'm signing because this cafe has been a life saver for me since having my 1 year old daughter last year. It is a wonderful middle meeting ground for my other friends with little ones and it is so affordable and welcoming when you are on a budget. The parking isn't an issue if you are happy to park further away and walk in, which is what I usually do. Please keep this place going it would be so sad to see it go.

This is a AMAZING place for young children to experience soft play whilst parents can actually relax as the place isnt so big they will get lost!

Because my daughter and granddaughter use this cafe. It would be a shame if it closed.

I don’t feel that this business should be closed as a result of parking. I feel the business park could offer more spaces and the council could make brook street residents only parking.

The cafe is invaluable to my business which is run out of Silk Mill.

This is an asset to the community; many people walk there rather than park.

I’d like to see this café remain open, what a great child friendly venue for Tring.

I’m signing because this is a wonderful cafe for parents of young children. There is nowhere else like it in Tring. It is a haven for a particularly challenging time in a parents life where the children aren’t at school, who are too small for some of the big outside playgrounds, and a distraction from the 4 walls (and iPads) at home. If you take this away, there will be much much moaning about the number of kids in the Akeman and nowhere for little people to play and parents to have company and a support network.
It’s a small cafe so the number of cars is actually quite insignificant.
There are other business and offices who use parking spaces (some all day and probably at a higher number than the cafe) without challenge so it seems unfair that this one individual SME is targeted.
Do the right and intelligent thing and allow this service (yes it is a service to the people of Tring) to continue.

This is a great space for children to go to, these softplay cafes are such a great idea as it helps childrens gross motor skills whilst giving parents a safe space to meet up and enjoy a coffee!

I use doodle caboodle and I enjoy it very much with my small toddler. Perhaps the council should enforce new parking regulations instead.
