ALDI is Coming - Stop the Shortcut Through Rushes, Princes and Noreuil Roads!

Aldi have submitted formal planning application for a new store close to the junction of Station Road and Frenchman's Road. This store will bring additional road traffic through Rushes Road, Princes Road and Noreuil Road as the additional congestion around this site, especially when the rail barriers are down, will increase the 'rat-run' for drivers wishing to access:

  • Aldi from the Railway Station Car Park end of Frenchmans Road
  • the Railway Station Car Park
  • Petersfield Hospital and Town Centre
  • additonal routes leading on beyond the town centre

Aldi's application does not take into account the changes their new store will bring to the surrounding residential side roads.

The application can be found and comments submitted via the following link...

If you are a local resident and have concerns of the impact this planning application may have and want the planners to address your concerns in more depth, then please sign this petition.

Thank you.
